Product Overview

The Warrior Hi-Vis Pull On Hoodie (WR012) is a technical garment engineered for professionals operating in environments where visibility is paramount. Compliant with EN ISO 20471: 2013 + A1: 2016 Class 3, this hoodie provides the highest level of conspicuousness available, ensuring the wearer is clearly visible from all angles. Constructed from a robust heavyweight polyester, it offers a practical alternative to traditional high-visibility jackets, providing warmth and comfort without restricting movement.

Key Features
  • EN ISO 20471 Class 3 Compliance: This certification ensures the garment meets the highest safety standards for high-visibility clothing, making it suitable for high-risk work zones.
  • RIS-3279-TOM (Orange Only): The orange variant meets specific UK rail industry standards, providing the necessary protection for trackside operations.
  • Integrated Storage: Featuring both a traditional front pouch pocket and a dedicated right chest zip pocket, providing secure space for mobile devices or essential tools.
  • Reflective Configuration: Two reflective bands around the body and sleeves, combined with shoulder braces, ensure full visibility even in low-light conditions.
  • Ergonomic Design: Drop shoulder styling and elasticated cuffs and hem provide a secure fit while allowing for a full range of motion during physical labour.

Design & Performance

This hoodie is manufactured from 100% polyester, a fabric selected for its exceptional durability and ability to maintain fluorescent vibrancy over extended use. As a heavyweight garment, it provides substantial insulation, making it an excellent choice for outdoor work during cooler months. The double-fabric hood includes a self-coloured drawcord, allowing the wearer to adjust coverage against the elements. The inclusion of elasticated cuffs and a matching hem helps to retain body heat and prevents the garment from snagging on equipment or materials.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Warrior WR012 is a versatile canvas for corporate branding. For a sophisticated and durable finish, we recommend embroidery for chest logos or staff names. Embroidery offers a professional appearance that withstands the rigours of industrial washing. Alternatively, for large-scale branding or safety messaging on the back, heat-applied print is an excellent choice, providing bold, clear graphics that are highly visible. Our in-house customisation team, based at our Telford facility since 1976, ensures every garment meets our exacting standards before it reaches your site.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for workers in the construction, logistics, and utilities sectors. Due to its Class 3 rating, it is suitable for use on or near high-speed roads and in complex industrial environments. The orange version is essential for rail workers needing to comply with RIS-3279-TOM. It is also a favoured choice for security personnel and warehouse staff who require high-visibility protection combined with the comfort of a sweatshirt.

Practical Advice

This heavyweight hoodie is ideal for layering. During colder spells, it fits comfortably over a base layer or polo shirt, and its smooth polyester finish allows for a high-visibility waistcoat or waterproof jacket to be worn over the top without excessive bulk. We recommend reviewing the sizing guide to ensure a fit that allows for maximum movement while maintaining a professional silhouette.

Caring for your product

To ensure the continued performance and safety compliance of your high-visibility garment, it is important to follow professional maintenance routines.

When washing, use a mild detergent and avoid any products containing optical brighteners or biological agents. These chemicals can degrade the fluorescent dyes in the polyester, which will eventually lower the garment's visibility and safety rating.

Do not use bleach. Bleaching agents will cause immediate damage to the fluorescent properties of the fabric and can compromise the integrity of the reflective tapes, making the garment unsafe for use in restricted environments.

We recommend line drying this hoodie. Tumble drying at high temperatures can cause the heat-applied reflective bands to crack or delaminate, reducing the garment's effectiveness in low-light conditions. Should you need to iron the garment, avoid direct contact with the reflective strips, as heat will melt the reflective elements and ruin the finish.
