Product Overview
The Warrior Hi-Vis Long Sleeve Polo Shirt is a sophisticated solution for professionals who require high-level visibility without sacrificing the smart appearance of a traditional polo. Designed for demanding work environments, this garment bridges the gap between essential safety equipment and professional corporate wear. By incorporating long sleeves, it provides increased surface area for reflective materials, ensuring maximum visibility in low-light conditions or high-traffic zones.
Key Features
- Fully certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 3, providing the highest standard of visibility for maximum safety on site.
- The orange variant is compliant with RIS-3279-TOM, making it essential equipment for UK rail industry workers.
- Constructed from a breathable birdseye knit polyester, which promotes airflow and moisture wicking to keep the wearer comfortable throughout the day.
- Features a contrast three-button placket and a tipped ribbed collar, maintaining a professional silhouette even in industrial settings.
- Equipped with two reflective bands around the torso, sleeves, and over each shoulder to ensure 360-degree visibility from all angles.
- Finished with a twin-needle hem for added durability, ensuring the garment stands up to the rigours of daily wear.
Design & Performance
The technical core of this polo shirt is its birdseye knit polyester fabric. This specific weave is chosen for its superior breathability; the tiny gaps in the knit allow heat to escape and air to circulate, which is vital for workers engaged in physical labour. Unlike standard flat-knit fabrics, this lightweight material helps regulate body temperature, reducing the risk of overheating while maintaining a structured, professional look.
Durability is engineered into the design through reinforced features like the taped neck and twin-needle stitching at the hem. These details prevent the garment from losing its shape or fraying after repeated use. The inclusion of long sleeves not only offers additional protection against the elements but also ensures that the wearer meets Class 3 safety requirements by providing more fluorescent and reflective surface area.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This Warrior polo is an excellent candidate for customisation, allowing you to align safety requirements with your corporate identity. Embroidery is the gold standard for creating a proper professional look, ideal for company logos or staff names. It provides a durable, high-quality finish that remains intact and legible even after industrial laundering.
For larger, more impactful designs or high-contrast safety messaging, our professional printing services offer a bold and vibrant alternative. All customisation is handled by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. Having been established in 1976, we have the technical knowledge to ensure your branding is applied perfectly without compromising the garment's reflective strips or safety certifications.
Use Cases
This garment is specifically designed for professionals in construction, civil engineering, and logistics who need to remain visible and smart. The orange version is a mandatory requirement for UK rail workers. It is also highly suited for site surveyors, roadside recovery teams, and warehouse managers who frequently move between office environments and hazardous operational areas.

Practical Advice
The lightweight, breathable nature of this polo makes it an ideal base layer for colder months or a standalone garment during the summer. When selecting your size, ensure there is sufficient room for movement, as restricted movement can put unnecessary tension on the reflective tape. If you are layering this under a jacket, the long sleeves will help maintain your Class 3 status even if the jacket is partially unzipped.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and ensure your branding remains in top condition, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Regular washing is important, as dirt and grime can significantly dull the fluorescent fabric and reduce the effectiveness of the reflective bands.
Avoid using biological detergents or fabric softeners. These products contain optical brighteners and chemicals that can coat the reflective glass beads, drastically reducing their ability to bounce light back to the source. Bleach should never be used, as it will permanently damage the fluorescent dyes and strip the garment of its safety rating.
We advise air drying rather than tumble drying. Excessive heat from a tumble dryer can cause the reflective tape to become brittle and eventually crack or peel. If ironing is necessary, use a cool setting and always iron on the reverse side. Never allow a hot iron to come into direct contact with the reflective bands or any printed logos, as this will cause irreparable damage.
