Product Overview

The Uneek UC201 is a cornerstone of professional workwear, engineered for those who require a substantial, reliable layer for demanding work environments. This heavyweight sweatshirt combines the natural breathability of cotton with the hard-wearing resilience of polyester, creating a garment that maintains its structural integrity through rigorous daily use. It is a well-engineered piece of equipment designed to provide warmth without compromising on a professional appearance.

Key Features

  • Reactive dyed fabric ensures that the colour remains vibrant and resistant to fading, even after frequent laundering at high temperatures.

  • Twin needle stitching at the neck, shoulders, armholes, and sleeves provides reinforced seams that are designed to withstand physical strain without unravelling.

  • Lycra ribbed cuffs, welt, and neck allow the garment to stretch during movement while effectively retaining its shape, preventing the sagging often seen in inferior alternatives.

  • A brushed internal effect offers superior comfort against the skin and provides an essential layer of thermal insulation for colder conditions.

  • The half-moon detail at the back neck adds a touch of traditional tailoring and provides extra reinforcement to a high-stress area of the garment.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a balanced blend of 50% polyester and 50% cotton, this sweatshirt is designed to perform where others might fail. The polyester component provides excellent colour retention and crease resistance, which is essential for maintaining a tidy appearance throughout a long shift. Meanwhile, the cotton ensures the wearer remains comfortable and avoids overheating. The heavyweight nature of the fabric makes it a substantial choice for outdoor work or draughty warehouses where maintaining core temperature is a priority.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The UC201 provides a stable and versatile canvas for your company branding. Its dense, heavyweight weave makes it particularly well-suited for high-quality embroidery; the fabric is sturdy enough to support complex logos and staff names without puckering, ensuring a superior finish. For those requiring larger, high-impact branding, the flat surface of the poly-cotton blend also accepts print exceptionally well. Our in-house technical team in Telford, established in 1976, manages the entire process to ensure your branding is executed with precision.

Use Cases

This sweatshirt is a staple for tradespeople, warehouse operatives, and delivery drivers who require a durable mid-layer. Its professional silhouette also makes it suitable for site managers and customer-facing technical roles who need a smart yet practical alternative to more casual attire.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage stretching back to 1976, MyWorkwear has the expertise to understand that professional clothing is an investment. Operating from our technical facility in Telford, we use our decades of experience to ensure every garment we customise meets the rigorous standards required by British businesses.

Practical Advice

Given its substantial thickness, this sweatshirt functions perfectly as a standalone top layer in milder weather or as a thermal mid-layer beneath a waterproof jacket in winter. We recommend reviewing the size guide carefully to ensure a fit that allows for a full range of movement during manual tasks.

Caring for your product

To maintain the longevity of the fabric and the integrity of your custom branding, this garment is suitable for a domestic wash at 60°C. This temperature is effective for removing stubborn work-related grime and ensuring high standards of hygiene.

We advise against using bleaching agents, as these will compromise the reactive dyes and weaken the cotton fibres. When drying, it is best to avoid high heat to preserve the elasticity of the Lycra ribbing and ensure the garment remains in its original shape for as long as possible.
