Product Overview

The Tee Jays Athletic hooded full-zip sweatshirt is a thoughtfully engineered garment that bridges the gap between high-performance leisurewear and professional work attire. Constructed from a substantial heavyweight fabric blend, this hoodie offers a structured silhouette that maintains its professional appearance throughout a demanding working day. Every element, from the high-quality SBS zips to the silicone-treated finish, has been selected to provide a superior user experience, ensuring that your team looks as capable as they are.

Key Features
  • SBS Zips: These high-grade fasteners are utilised for the main full-zip and the sleeve pocket, ensuring smooth operation and long-term reliability even with daily use.
  • Integrated Zipped Sleeve Pocket: This functional addition provides a secure space for essential items such as keys or access cards, keeping them accessible but out of the way.
  • Elastic Taped Hood and Hem: The inclusion of elastic tape ensures a consistent fit and helps the garment retain its shape, preventing the sagging often seen in lesser-quality hoodies.
  • Double Pre-shrunk Fabric: By pre-shrinking the material twice during production, we ensure that the garment you receive will maintain its size and fit after repeated domestic laundering.
  • Silicone Treatment: This specialised process results in an exceptionally soft handle, making the sweatshirt comfortable for extended periods of wear.

Design & Performance

The fabric composition of 60% combed cotton and 40% polyester strikes an ideal balance between natural comfort and synthetic durability. The combed cotton provides a soft, breathable interior, while the polyester content adds the necessary tensile strength to withstand the rigours of a busy workplace. As a heavyweight garment, it provides excellent thermal insulation, making it a reliable mid-layer or outer layer depending on the environment. The technical design is further enhanced by its accreditations, including Oeko-Tex Standard 100, ensuring the materials used meet high safety and environmental standards.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This sweatshirt is an excellent canvas for your company branding. For a truly professional and authoritative look, we recommend embroidery for your primary logo or staff names. The heavyweight fabric provides a stable base that supports dense stitching without pulling or puckering. Alternatively, for large-scale promotional designs or bold back-branding, print is a highly effective option. Our expert in-house team at MyWorkwear, based in Telford since 1976, oversees the entire customisation process to ensure your branding is executed with precision.

Use Cases

The versatile nature of the Tee Jays Athletic hooded full-zip makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. It is particularly well-suited for site supervisors, logistics personnel, and delivery drivers who require a garment that is professional enough for client-facing tasks but flexible enough for physical activity. It is also a popular choice for corporate events or as a premium addition to a staff uniform package.

Practical Advice

The sizing range from XS to 3XL accommodates a broad spectrum of body types. When selecting your size, consider whether the hoodie will be worn over multiple layers or as a standalone piece. The athletic fit is designed to be streamlined; if a looser, more traditional fit is preferred for layering over heavy shirts, you may wish to consider the measurements provided in our size guide.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and professional appearance of this sweatshirt, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. We recommend a domestic machine wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove workplace dirt while preserving the integrity of the cotton-polyester fibres and the vibrancy of your custom branding.

When washing, always group the garment with similar colours to prevent dye transfer. The use of non-chlorine cleaning agents is recommended; avoid bleach at all costs, as it will degrade the fabric strength and cause significant discolouration. If the garment is tumble dried, ensure a low heat setting is used to prevent excessive shrinkage of the natural cotton components.

If your garment features a printed design, do not iron directly over the print. High heat from an iron will damage the adhesive bond of the print, causing it to peel or distort. Careful laundering according to these guidelines will ensure your investment in quality workwear continues to pay dividends in both comfort and appearance.
