Product Overview

The Stormtech Women's Basecamp thermal vest is a sophisticated solution for professionals who require consistent warmth without the restrictive bulk of a traditional jacket. This ultra-lightweight garment features a sleek silhouette, tailored specifically for a professional female fit. Constructed with a high-density water-repellent outer shell, it provides reliable protection against light rain and wind, making it an essential layer for those navigating the unpredictable British climate.

Key Features

  • High-density D/W/R outer shell: The durable water-repellent finish ensures that moisture beads off the surface, keeping you dry and comfortable during sudden showers.

  • Thermal polyfill insulation: This advanced synthetic insulation provides exceptional thermal properties, trapping heat close to the body while maintaining an incredibly lightweight profile.

  • Quilted lining: The internal quilting serves to keep the thermal insulation evenly distributed, preventing cold spots and ensuring the vest retains its shape over time.

  • Embroidery access: A dedicated access point allows for clean, professional branding, ensuring that the internal lining remains undisturbed after customisation.

Design & Performance

Engineered from 100% polyester, this vest is designed for both durability and comfort. The ultra-lightweight fabric choice ensures that the wearer enjoys a full range of motion, which is vital for active roles in the field or on-site. Despite its thin profile, the high-density weave of the outer fabric is remarkably resilient, standing up to the demands of daily wear while maintaining a sharp, professional appearance. The thermal polyfill provides a high warmth-to-weight ratio, making it an efficient insulator that doesn't feel heavy or cumbersome.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Stormtech Basecamp vest is highly suited for customisation, allowing you to align the garment with your corporate identity. For a superior, long-lasting finish, embroidery is the recommended choice for company logos and staff names. The integrated embroidery access means the reverse of the stitching is hidden, maintaining the sleek internal profile of the vest. This provides a professional appearance that is both durable and sophisticated.

For larger, high-impact branding, our printing services are also available. This method is excellent for bold designs that need to stand out at events or in busy environments. Since 1976, our expert team in Telford has handled all customisation in-house, ensuring that every garment meets our rigorous quality standards.

Use Cases

This thermal vest is an ideal choice for site managers, logistics supervisors, and corporate staff who frequently transition between outdoor and indoor environments. Its refined profile also makes it a popular option for uniform programmes in the hospitality and events sectors, where a smart but functional appearance is necessary.

Practical Advice

This vest features a sleek, tailored profile. If you intend to wear it over multiple heavy layers or thick knitwear, you may wish to consider choosing one size larger than your usual fit. The size range spans from XS (UK 8) to XL (UK 16). For the best thermal efficiency, ensure the vest is fitted closely to the body to help the polyfill trap heat effectively.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance of the technical fabrics and the integrity of your custom branding, it is essential to follow the correct care procedures. Proper maintenance ensures the garment continues to perform as intended for its entire lifespan.

We recommend a 30-degree cool wash. Avoiding high temperatures is crucial, as excessive heat can degrade the synthetic polyester fibres and damage the water-repellent D/W/R coating on the outer shell. Furthermore, a cool wash protects your embroidery and print, ensuring that the branding remains vibrant and the stitching stays secure without puckering.
