Product Overview

The Stormtech Women's Medusa fleece hoodie is a sophisticated mid-layer designed for both urban and outdoor environments. Part of the Pure Earth collection, it balances technical performance with environmental responsibility by utilising 100% recycled polyester. This hoodie is built for comfort when temperatures drop, offering a structured yet soft aesthetic suitable for professional uniforms and active work roles. The heavyweight fabric ensures warmth without sacrificing breathability, making it a reliable addition to any professional wardrobe.

Key Features
  • Ultra-soft ottoman-knit fleece shell: Provides a premium texture and exceptional insulation for cold-weather layering.
  • Three-piece adjustable scuba hood: Features a brushed tricot facing and easy-lock system to ensure a secure fit and added protection around the head and neck.
  • On-seam zipped handwarmer pockets: Offers secure storage for essentials while keeping hands protected from the elements.
  • Contoured side panels: Ensures a flattering, feminine fit that moves with the wearer without adding unnecessary bulk.
  • Low-profile chin saver: Prevents irritation from the zip against the skin, enhancing wearer comfort during long shifts.

Design & Performance

This hoodie is constructed from a heavyweight recycled polyester stripe fleece. The ottoman knit provides a distinct, ribbed texture that is more durable and visually professional than standard flat-knit fleece. The interior is designed for softness against the skin, while the exterior maintains its shape through repeated wear. The adjustable hem allows for a personalised fit, effectively trapping heat and preventing drafts during outdoor tasks.

Customisation: Embroidery Only

Due to the textured ottoman-knit finish and the premium nature of this fleece, we offer embroidery as the exclusive customisation method. Embroidery provides a durable, high-quality finish that sits perfectly on the ridged fabric, whereas print would struggle to adhere correctly to the uneven surface. Our in-house embroidery team, established in 1976, uses industrial-grade machinery to ensure your company logo is rendered with precision, providing a professional appearance that lasts the lifetime of the garment.

Use Cases

This garment is ideal for female professionals working in outdoor sectors, logistics, or premium site management. It serves as an excellent outer layer in transitional weather or a substantial mid-layer under a waterproof shell for winter site visits. The conscious construction also makes it a primary choice for businesses prioritising sustainability in their corporate apparel.

Practical Advice

This hoodie is designed with a contoured fit to provide a professional silhouette. If you intend to wear multiple thick layers underneath, you may wish to consider sizing up. The adjustable hem and easy-lock hood allow you to fine-tune the fit depending on the intensity of the wind or cold.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and premium finish of your Medusa hoodie, it is important to follow these specific instructions to prevent premature wear.

Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle with similar colours. Cold water prevents the synthetic fibres from breaking down and helps the recycled polyester retain its shape and colour depth. Avoid the use of fabric softeners, as these can coat the fleece fibres and reduce the garment's natural insulating properties. Bleach should also be avoided to prevent damage to the fabric structure and the embroidery threads.

Tumble dry on a low temperature only. Excessive heat can cause the fleece to pill or shrink. Do not iron the garment or the embroidered decoration, as high heat will melt the polyester fibres and ruin the custom branding. Dry cleaning is not recommended for this technical fleece as the chemicals can degrade the fabric integrity.
