Product Overview

The Stormtech ST247 Women’s Appalachian thermal softshell vest is a refined choice for the professional who requires warmth without the encumbrance of a full jacket. One might find that shivering is rarely a productive business strategy; fortunately, this gilet is designed to keep your core temperature stable while allowing for a full range of motion. It provides a sophisticated, tailored silhouette specifically for women, ensuring a professional appearance in any environment.

Key Features
  • Thermal Softshell Construction: Designed to trap heat close to the body, providing essential warmth in cooler climates without excessive bulk.
  • Polyester Blend Fabric: A well-engineered material that offers a durable and flexible finish, standing up to the rigours of daily professional use.
  • Medium-Weight Protection: Strikes the perfect balance between being lightweight enough for comfort and substantial enough to provide a genuine barrier against the elements.
  • Versatile Gilet Design: Perfect for layering, allowing you to adapt your outfit as the British weather inevitably changes its mind.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a medium-weight polyester blend, this gilet is built for both longevity and comfort. The softshell outer provides a degree of resistance against the wind and light moisture, while the thermal interior works to maintain body heat. The absence of sleeves ensures that your arms remain free for technical tasks, making it a practical choice for those who find traditional jackets too restrictive. The fabric is chosen for its ability to maintain its shape and professional finish, even after continuous wear in demanding conditions.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation.

Embroidery delivers a textured, premium appearance — ideal for logos and names — and stands up to repeated washing without fading. This method is highly recommended for creating a permanent, superior finish that reflects the quality of your brand.

Print is better suited to large, bold designs and a broader colour range, making it an excellent choice for high-visibility branding or complex graphics. Our in-house team, established in 1976, handles all customisation in our Telford-based facility, ensuring your order is processed with British expertise and precision.

Use Cases

This garment is ideal for surveyors, site managers, and supervisors who frequently transition between the office and the field. It also serves as an excellent uniform solution for logistics staff and event organisers who need to stay warm while maintaining a smart, recognisable brand identity.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been at the forefront of providing durable, professional clothing to the British workforce. Based in Telford, our team combines decades of experience with a commitment to quality. We understand that your workwear needs to be as reliable as you are, which is why we only offer garments that meet our high standards for performance and professional finish.

Practical Advice

Available in a range of sizes from XS to 3XL, this gilet is designed with a feminine cut. We recommend considering what you will be wearing underneath; if you plan to layer this over a medium-weight sweatshirt or hoodie, you may wish to verify your measurements against our size guide to ensure a comfortable fit. It is particularly effective as a mid-layer during the winter months.

Caring for your product

To ensure the thermal properties and structural integrity of your softshell gilet remain intact, it is vital to follow the care instructions provided on the internal label. Proper maintenance is the simplest way to protect your investment and ensure your branding remains in peak condition.

When washing, avoid using harsh chemicals or fabric softeners, as these can break down the technical fibres of the softshell and compromise the garment's ability to retain heat. Ensuring you use a gentle cycle will also prevent any custom embroidery from becoming distorted over time.

We advise against the use of bleach and high-heat drying. Excessive heat can damage the polyester blend and may cause printed logos to peel or crack. By allowing the garment to air dry, you preserve the fit and the vibrancy of the colours, keeping your team looking professional for longer.
