Product Overview
The Stormtech Scirocco lightweight shell is a meticulously engineered garment designed to provide superior protection against the elements without the unnecessary bulk of traditional outerwear. Integrating advanced H2XTREME technology, this shell manages the dual challenge of keeping rain and wind out while remaining sufficiently breathable for active use. It is a refined, urban-styled solution for those who require high-performance protection that transitions seamlessly from the worksite to professional meetings.
Key Features
- H2XTREME® Waterproof/Breathable Technology: Provides a robust barrier against inclement weather while allowing moisture vapour to escape, ensuring you remain dry and comfortable throughout the working day.
- Rollaway Hood: Offers versatile protection that can be deployed during sudden downpours or neatly stowed away when the weather clears, maintaining a professional silhouette.
- Waterproof Zippered Chest Pockets: Secure storage for essential items or electronics, keeping them protected from moisture ingress even in challenging environments.
- Ergonomic Design: The garment is cut to follow the natural movement of the body, preventing restriction when reaching or moving during technical tasks.
Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% recycled polyester twill, the Scirocco shell is as sustainable as it is durable. The fabric choice demonstrates a commitment to environmental responsibility without compromising on the high-performance standards required by Stormtech. As a lightweight garment, it offers excellent wind resistance and water repellency, making it an ideal choice for the unpredictable British weather. The internal lining, also made from recycled materials, ensures a smooth fit over base layers, reducing friction and enhancing overall wearer comfort.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The technical fabric of the Scirocco shell serves as an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. For a truly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names; our specialist threads create a durable, high-quality finish that withstands regular wear. Alternatively, for large-scale branding or bold messaging, print technology offers crisp designs that remain vibrant on the recycled polyester surface.
At MyWorkwear, our expert team in Telford has been refining these processes since 1976. We handle every stage of the customisation in-house to ensure your branding meets the exact technical specifications required for high-performance outerwear.
Use Cases
This shell is perfectly suited for site managers, surveyors, and technical professionals who require a smart, protective layer that facilitates movement. Its lightweight nature also makes it a superb choice for corporate travel or as a branded uniform piece for outdoor events where appearance and weather protection are equally prioritised.

Practical Advice
This jacket is designed with an ergonomic fit to allow for natural movement. When selecting your size, consider what you intend to wear underneath; if you frequently layer over heavy sweatshirts or knitwear, you may wish to consult our sizing guide to ensure a comfortable fit. The size range spans from S to 2XL, catering to a wide variety of body types.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the performance of a technical shell requires proper care to preserve its waterproof and breathable properties. We recommend washing this garment on a cold cycle. Using hot water can damage the recycled polyester fibres and compromise the H2XTREME technology that keeps you dry.
After washing, the garment should be hung to dry naturally. This method prevents the fabric from becoming misshapen and avoids the high heat of a tumble dryer, which can delaminate technical coatings and damage the internal lining.
Do not iron this product. The application of direct heat from an iron will likely melt the synthetic fibres and ruin the waterproof integrity of the shell. A simple hang-dry will typically see any creases fall out naturally.
