Product Overview
The Stanley/Stella Worker shirt is a sophisticated fusion of traditional functional apparel and modern retail styling. Designed with a relaxed unisex fit, this garment is crafted to meet the demands of professionals who require a blend of durability and a contemporary aesthetic. The shirt is constructed from a substantial 100% organic cotton twill that has been garment-washed to provide a soft hand-feel without sacrificing the structural integrity required for a working environment. Its clean design, marked by a point collar and a flat back without pleats, makes it a superior choice for businesses looking to project a modern, conscious, and professional brand image.
Key Features
- Relaxed Unisex Fit: Designed to offer comfort and ease of movement for all team members, regardless of body type.
- 100% Organic Cotton Twill: Provides a sustainable and ethical fabric choice that is naturally breathable and incredibly hard-wearing.
- Point Collar with Single-Needle Topstitching: Ensures a crisp, professional appearance that maintains its shape throughout the working day.
- Garment-Washed Finish: The fabric undergoes a washing process that results in a softer feel and, in the Black Rock colourway, a characterful faded look on the seams.
- Double Pleats at the Cuff: Enhances the fit around the wrist and allows for better articulation during manual tasks.
- No Back Pleat: Provides a smooth, uninterrupted surface on the rear of the shirt, specifically designed to accommodate large-scale customisation.
Design & Performance
Engineered for performance, the Worker shirt uses a sturdy cotton twill fabric that provides a heavy-duty feel suitable for more demanding roles. Unlike standard lightweight shirts, this garment offers the thickness and durability needed for longevity in the workplace. The forwarded shoulders and set-in sleeves are tailored to ensure the garment drapes correctly, preventing the fabric from bunching when moving or layering. As a garment-dyed product, each shirt carries a unique finish, though users should be aware that colours may slightly bleed initially, reflecting the authentic nature of the dyeing process.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The high-quality organic cotton twill provides an exceptionally stable base for both print and embroidery. For a formal and enduring look, embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or staff names. Our in-house team in Telford, with expertise dating back to 1976, ensures every stitch is precisely placed for a superior finish. Alternatively, for those requiring large, high-impact branding, the flat back of the shirt is perfect for professional printing. The absence of a back pleat ensures that large-scale prints can be applied smoothly across the shoulders without any distortion or seam interference.
Use Cases
This versatile shirt is perfectly suited for customer-facing roles in the creative industries, boutique hospitality, or as a more formal alternative to a polo shirt for skilled tradespeople. Its relaxed fit also allows it to be worn as an overshirt, making it ideal for staff who work in fluctuating temperatures or outdoor environments where layering is essential.

Practical Advice
As this is a relaxed fit garment, it is designed to be worn with a bit of extra room. If you prefer a more tailored, traditional fit, you may wish to consider selecting a size smaller than your usual measurement. For those intending to wear the Worker shirt as a light jacket over a t-shirt, we recommend staying with your standard size to ensure there is sufficient space for layering.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and vibrant colour of your organic cotton shirt, we recommend a domestic machine wash at 30°C. Washing at higher temperatures can lead to unnecessary shrinkage and may cause the garment-dyed finish to fade prematurely.
The use of bleach is strictly prohibited, as it will break down the natural cotton fibres and destroy the depth of the garment's colour. To prevent any colour transfer, always ensure you wash the shirt with similar colours and wash it inside out to protect the outer surface and any custom branding.
Do not tumble dry this garment. The high heat of a tumble dryer can damage the organic fibres and may cause printed designs to crack or peel. Instead, we recommend hanging the shirt to air dry naturally.
When ironing, use a low heat setting and always iron the garment inside out. It is critical that you never iron directly over printed areas, as the heat will melt the print and permanently damage the shirt. Proper care will ensure your workwear remains professional and functional for the long term.
