Product Overview

The Stanley/Stella Baby Cruiser hooded sweatshirt is a medium-weight garment designed specifically for the comfort and practicality required by the youngest members of the community. Established with a focus on sustainability and durability, this hoodie provides a soft, reliable layer for infants and toddlers, ensuring they remain comfortable throughout the day.

Crafted from a blend of 85% organic ringspun combed cotton and 15% recycled polyester, the fabric offers a gentle touch against sensitive skin while maintaining the resilience needed for everyday wear. The Terry fabric construction provides a breathable yet cosy feel, making it a versatile choice for various environments.

Key Features
  • A wider neck opening is a practical design choice that simplifies the process of dressing active infants, reducing strain on the garment and frustration for the wearer.
  • The double-layered hood in single Jersey adds extra warmth and a refined finish compared to single-layer hoods.
  • 1x1 ribbing at the sleeve and bottom hems ensures the sweatshirt retains its shape and fit, even after repeated use and movement.
  • Twin-needle topstitching at the sleeve and bottom hems provides reinforced durability, ensuring the seams remain intact under stress.
  • The inclusion of an inside back neck tape and a self-fabric half-moon detail enhances the internal comfort and adds to the garment's professional construction.

Design & Performance

The design of the Baby Cruiser focuses on both ethical production and technical performance. The medium-weight Terry fabric is substantial enough to provide warmth without being overly bulky, allowing for ease of movement. The use of ringspun combed cotton ensures a smoother surface, which is not only more comfortable for the child but also provides a superior base for customisation.

In terms of performance, this sweatshirt is built to last. It carries several prestigious accreditations, including GOTS, the Fair Wear Foundation, and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, and is PETA-approved vegan. These certifications confirm that the garment meets high social and environmental standards, reflecting the quality-led approach of the Stanley/Stella brand.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This hooded sweatshirt is exceptionally well-suited for both print and embroidery. For those seeking a traditional, high-quality professional appearance, embroidery is the ideal choice for small logos or names, offering a textured finish that is both durable and sophisticated.

Alternatively, the smooth surface of the organic cotton blend makes it an excellent candidate for printing, which is better suited for larger, more vibrant designs. All customisation is handled in-house by our expert team in Telford, who have been providing specialist workwear services since 1976. This ensures your branding is applied with the technical precision and care it deserves.

Use Cases

The Baby Cruiser is ideal for nursery uniforms, junior sports clubs, or as part of a high-quality promotional range for family-oriented brands. It also serves as an excellent personalised gift or a professional addition to a corporate gifting package.

Practical Advice

The Baby Cruiser is available in a size range from 6/12 months to 24/36 months. For the best fit, we recommend considering the child's current size while allowing some room for layering over lighter base garments like t-shirts or vests. The tear-out tag is also a useful feature for those who wish to avoid potential irritation on the child's neck.

Caring for your product

To maintain the integrity of the organic cotton and the vibrancy of your customisation, we recommend a domestic wash at 30°C. Washing at higher temperatures can lead to premature wear and may affect the shape of the garment.

Do not tumble dry this sweatshirt. High heat from a dryer can cause the recycled polyester fibres to degrade and may shrink the organic cotton, leading to a distorted fit.

Avoid the use of bleach. Bleaching agents are too harsh for the natural fibres and will damage both the fabric colour and the integrity of any applied logos.

When ironing, ensure the temperature does not exceed 110°C. Excessive heat can scorch the fabric and damage printed designs, so it is best to iron on a low setting and avoid direct contact with the branded areas.
