Product Overview
The Result Workguard Sabre long coat is a meticulously engineered garment designed for professionals who require a substantial outer layer that balances durability with a structured, managerial appearance. Constructed from heavy-duty fabrics, this coat is built to withstand the rigours of outdoor work while maintaining a polished aesthetic. With its extended length and comprehensive weather-proofing features, it serves as a reliable barrier against the elements for those overseeing operations in challenging environments.
Key Features
- Fully taped seams provide an essential barrier against water ingress, ensuring the wearer remains dry during persistent rainfall.
- The multi-feature right chest pocket and deep front patch pockets offer ample storage for tools and devices, while microfleece-lined hand warmer access provides relief in cold conditions.
- Reflective detailing across the chest and pockets improves visibility in low-light settings without compromising the professional design.
- A concealed hood with an adjustable drawcord allows for immediate protection when the weather shifts, tucking away neatly when not required.
- The interchangeable colour zip pull system allows for subtle alignment with corporate branding, providing a cohesive team appearance.
Design & Performance
The Sabre long coat is crafted from a heavyweight Oxford polyester with a PVC coating, a combination chosen for its exceptional resistance to abrasions and moisture. Internally, the coat features a diamond quilted lining and thick polyester wadding, which provides significant thermal insulation without excessive bulk. The inclusion of critical seam twin needling further reinforces the garment’s structural integrity, ensuring it does not fail under tension. The stand-up collar is lined with soft-feel microfleece, preventing chafing and retaining warmth around the neck.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This coat has been designed with customisation in mind. A standout feature is the semi-detachable left chest pocket, which provides easy access for our decoration machinery, ensuring a superior finish for your company logo. Embroidery is highly recommended for a traditional, authoritative professional look, particularly for names and corporate emblems. For larger, more impactful designs, transfer printing is an excellent alternative. Our expert team in Telford, established in 1976, manages all customisation in-house to ensure your branding meets our rigorous quality standards.
Use Cases
This coat is ideally suited for site managers, surveyors, and transport supervisors who spend significant time outdoors but must maintain a professional standard. It is equally effective for security personnel and warehouse managers who require a garment that is as sturdy as it is functional.

Practical Advice
The Sabre long coat is generously sized to accommodate layering. We recommend selecting your usual size if you intend to wear it over a sweatshirt or jacket. For those between sizes or preferring a closer fit, please refer to our sizing guide which covers XS through to 4XL. The elasticated cuffs with tear-release adjusters allow for a custom fit around the wrists, preventing cold draughts from entering the sleeves.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance of the PVC coating and the integrity of the taped seams, we recommend a domestic wash at 30°C. Higher temperatures can degrade the waterproof bondings and cause the fabric to lose its protective properties over time.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleach is an aggressive chemical that will strip the colour from the Oxford polyester and compromise the strength of the fibres.
This coat should not be tumble dried. High heat in a dryer can cause the PVC coating to crack and may damage any custom print or embroidery. Instead, hang the garment to air dry naturally.
If ironing is necessary to remove creases, use a low heat setting and avoid direct contact with any printed areas or the reflective piping to prevent melting. Dry cleaning should be avoided as the solvents used can dissolve the adhesives in the taped seams.
