Product Overview
When the temperature drops, maintaining manual dexterity and comfort is paramount for any professional working outdoors. The Result Winter Essentials classic fully-lined Thinsulate gloves are designed to provide a reliable barrier against the British winter. Combining a traditional knitted aesthetic with modern thermal technology, these gloves offer a professional appearance suitable for site visits, travel, and general workwear duties. The inclusion of high-performance insulation ensures your hands remain warm without the restrictive bulk often associated with winter handwear.
Key Features
- 3M Thinsulate Insulation: This industry-standard thermal technology traps air molecules between you and the cold, providing superior heat retention while remaining thin enough to allow for natural hand movement.
- Full Soft-Feel Tricot Lining: The interior is lined with a smooth tricot fabric, which feels exceptionally soft against the skin and prevents the irritation sometimes caused by standard knitted materials.
- 100% Acrylic Construction: The outer shell is crafted from durable acrylic, which is known for its ability to hold its shape and resist moisture better than natural wool alternatives.
- Unisex Design: Available in a wide size range from Small to 2XL, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit for all members of your team.
Design & Performance
The R147X gloves are engineered for durability and thermal efficiency. The medium-weight acrylic knit serves as a sturdy outer layer that stands up to the rigours of daily wear, while the inner Thinsulate layer provides technical warmth. Unlike standard woollen gloves, the synthetic fibres used here are quick-drying and retain their insulating properties even if they become slightly damp. The soft-feel tricot lining not only adds a layer of comfort but also helps to wick moisture away from the skin, preventing that clammy feeling that can occur during physical exertion.
Why No Customisation?
At MyWorkwear, we supply these gloves as a non-customised accessory to ensure they are ready for immediate dispatch when the cold weather hits. Due to the knitted nature of the fabric and the internal Thinsulate membrane, standard post-production customisation can sometimes compromise the thermal integrity or the fit of the glove. By providing these as-is, we ensure you receive a high-quality, high-performance product that is fit for purpose the moment it arrives.
Use Cases
These gloves are a versatile addition to any winter uniform. They are particularly well-suited for supervisors and site managers who require warmth during inspections, as well as for logistics staff, delivery drivers, and commuters. Beyond the workplace, their classic design makes them equally appropriate for hiking, walking, and teamwear applications during the winter season.

Practical Advice
To find the best fit, we recommend selecting your usual size; the knitted construction allows for a degree of natural stretch. For those working in extremely wet conditions, these gloves can serve as a superb thermal liner underneath a waterproof outer shell. When not in use, keep them in a dry, ventilated area to maintain the loft of the Thinsulate fibres.
Caring for your product
To maintain the thermal performance and longevity of your gloves, it is important to follow the recommended care instructions. A domestic wash at 40°C is recommended to remove dirt and oils that can accumulate during daily use. Washing at higher temperatures may damage the synthetic fibres and cause the gloves to lose their shape.
Do not use bleach on this product, as harsh chemicals will break down the acrylic fibres and the internal insulation, significantly reducing the lifespan of the gloves. Similarly, these gloves should not be ironed. The heat from an iron can melt the synthetic materials, leading to permanent damage to both the outer knit and the technical lining. Allowing them to air dry naturally is the best way to preserve their form and function.
