Product Overview

The Result Headwear Boston 5-Panel Polycotton Printer's Cap is a meticulously engineered piece of headwear designed specifically for businesses that value branding clarity and garment longevity. Unlike standard caps that feature a central vertical seam, this model utilises a seamless front panel construction. This technical design choice eliminates the uneven surface often found in 6-panel alternatives, providing a perfectly flat canvas for high-quality customisation. It is an essential component for any professional uniform, combining a classic aesthetic with modern structural integrity.

Key Features
  • 5-Panel Seamless Front: This design provides an uninterrupted surface area, ensuring that your company logo or design is applied without distortion or interference from seams.
  • Curved Peak with Six Stitch Lines: The reinforced stitching across the peak ensures the cap maintains its shape and structural profile through repeated use, preventing the brim from becoming flimsy.
  • Tear-Release Adjuster: The adjustable closure at the rear allows for a secure and comfortable fit across a wide range of head sizes, making it a versatile choice for entire teams.
  • Recycled PU Peak: The internal structure of the peak uses recycled materials, offering a firm shape that supports the fabric while maintaining an environmentally conscious approach to manufacturing.
  • Tear-Away Label: For businesses looking to create their own branded range, the easily removable label allows for a clean, rebrandable finish without irritating the wearer.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a robust blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, this cap offers the best of both worlds: the durability and colour-fastness of polyester combined with the natural breathability of cotton. The fabric is a sturdy, mid-weight material that feels substantial to the touch without being overly heavy during long shifts. This polycotton blend is specifically chosen for its ability to withstand the rigours of a daily working environment while resisting the fading often associated with prolonged exposure to the elements.

The addition of the RESULT printed upstand and the Amfori BSCI and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 accreditations demonstrate a commitment to both manufacturing quality and ethical production standards. It is a garment built to perform as well as it looks, ensuring your team remains professional from the start of the day to the end.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This cap is specifically marketed as a 'printer's cap' for a reason. The lack of a central seam makes it the premier choice for transfer printing; there are no bumps to cause ink bleed or adhesion issues. For those seeking a bold, high-contrast look for a large company logo, transfer printing is the ideal solution.

Alternatively, the sturdy polycotton fabric is perfectly suited for embroidery. Our in-house team in Telford, with expertise dating back to 1976, can apply high-density stitching to give your logo a professional, three-dimensional finish. While print is excellent for vibrant, complex designs, embroidery offers a more traditional, high-end professional appearance that is exceptionally hard-wearing.

Use Cases

This cap is a versatile tool for a variety of industries. It is particularly effective for delivery personnel, warehouse staff, and outdoor event teams where sun protection and clear branding are required. Because of its excellent customisation potential, it is also a popular choice for promotional giveaways at trade shows, where a professional appearance is paramount for brand recognition.

Practical Advice

As this is a 'one size' garment with a tear-release adjuster, it is highly adaptable. When planning your branding, we recommend centering your logo on the seamless front panel to take full advantage of the cap's design. If you are layering this with other PPE, such as ear defenders, the low-profile crown ensures a comfortable fit without excessive bulk.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity of the peak and the vibrancy of your custom branding, this cap must be sponge cleaned only. Submerging the cap or using a washing machine can warp the internal PU peak, leading to a loss of shape that cannot be easily corrected.

Bleaching must be avoided at all costs. Harsh chemicals will not only degrade the polycotton fibres but will also cause significant discolouration to both the fabric and your embroidered or printed logo.

Do not iron, tumble dry, or dry clean this product. High heat from irons or dryers can melt the internal peak materials and damage the adhesives used in transfer prints. Allowing the cap to air dry naturally is the best way to ensure it retains its professional appearance for the long term.
