Product Overview
The Regatta Professional Vertex III microfibre jacket is a sophisticated solution for professionals who require reliable protection without the bulk of heavy traditional outerwear. This jacket is engineered using Isotex 5000 coated polyester twill microfibre, providing a technical barrier against the elements while maintaining a refined, professional appearance suitable for both site visits and client meetings. The microfibre finish offers a softer, more premium handle than standard high-sheen fabrics, ensuring your team looks polished regardless of the weather.
Key Features
- Isotex 5000 Technology: This waterproof and breathable fabric ensures the wearer remains dry during rainfall while allowing moisture vapour to escape, preventing the internal humidity common in lesser garments.
- Taped Seams: Every internal junction is sealed with waterproof tape to prevent water ingress through the stitching, ensuring total integrity in wet conditions.
- Studded Double Stormflap: This feature provides a robust secondary barrier over the main zip, preventing wind and driving rain from penetrating the front of the jacket.
- Comprehensive Pocket System: With two zipped chest pockets, an internal map pocket, and dedicated mobile phone storage, essential equipment remains secure and accessible.
- Concealed Adjustable Hood: The hood can be tucked away when not in use for a cleaner aesthetic or deployed and adjusted for a precise fit during inclement weather.
Design & Performance
The Vertex III is a lightweight yet robust technical jacket designed for active professionals. The outer fabric is a polyester twill microfibre, which provides excellent durability against daily wear while remaining flexible. Internally, the jacket features a strategic dual lining; mesh sections promote airflow and breathability, while polyester taffeta sections allow the jacket to glide over base layers without friction. The adjustable shock cord waist and hem systems allow the wearer to customise the silhouette, trapping warmth and preventing updrafts in exposed environments.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Vertex III is an ideal canvas for corporate branding. For a superior, long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names. This jacket specifically includes internal zipped embroidery access, which allows our technicians to apply your branding to the chest without puncturing the inner lining or compromising the jacket's aesthetic. For larger, more vibrant graphics or high-visibility requirements, our high-quality heat-applied print processes are equally effective. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been refining these techniques at our Telford facility to ensure your brand is represented with precision.
Use Cases
This jacket is particularly well-suited for supervisors, site managers, and delivery personnel who transition frequently between vehicles and the outdoors. Its professional microfibre finish also makes it an excellent choice for corporate uniforms where a standard high-visibility jacket might be too industrial, but weather protection remains a necessity.

Practical Advice
As a lightweight technical shell, the Vertex III is designed for versatility. For colder winter months, we suggest pairing it with a medium-weight fleece or a technical base layer. Please consult the size guide before ordering; the jacket provides a professional fit with enough room for layering without appearing oversized.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance waterproof characteristics of the Isotex 5000 fabric, it is essential to wash the jacket using a cool machine cycle with a specialist cleaner or pure soap. Standard household detergents and fabric conditioners must be avoided, as they contain surfactants that strip the water-repellent coating from the fabric, leading to 'wetting out' where the fabric absorbs water rather than shedding it.
Ensure all zips and hook-and-loop fasteners are securely closed before washing to prevent mechanical damage to the microfibre surface or the internal mesh lining. After washing, the jacket should be rinsed thoroughly to remove any soap residue. A light tumble dry is permitted to help reactivate the water-repellent finish, though we recommend using a cool iron on the outer side for a crisp appearance.
Over time, the factory-applied water repellent will naturally wear. We recommend reproofing the outer fabric regularly with a water-repellent spray to maintain peak performance. Finally, keep the garment away from solvents, alcohols, and insecticides, as these chemical agents can permanently damage the technical coating and the integrity of the microfibre.
