Product Overview

The Bizflame Rain FR Winter Jacket is a high-performance protective garment designed for individuals operating in complex, multi-risk environments. This jacket does not simply shield the wearer from the elements; it provides a comprehensive defence against flame spread and static discharge. Engineering a garment that is simultaneously breathable and water-resistant while maintaining flame-resistant integrity requires precision, and this jacket delivers exactly that. It is an essential choice for those requiring thermal protection without sacrificing safety standards during the winter months.

Key Features

  • Flame Resistant Protection: The fabric and lining are specifically engineered to resist ignition, providing a vital layer of safety in environments where fire hazards are a constant concern.
  • Anti-Static Properties: Integrated carbon fibres prevent the build-up of static electricity, which is critical for preventing sparks in volatile atmospheres.
  • Breathable & Water-Resistant: The PU-coated shell keeps external moisture out while allowing internal vapour to escape, ensuring you remain dry and comfortable during strenuous activity.
  • Thermal Insulation: A substantial flame-resistant modacrylic filling provides excellent heat retention, making it suitable for prolonged work in cold climates.
  • FR Cotton Lining: The 100% cotton flame-resistant lining offers a soft, natural feel against the body, enhancing wearer comfort throughout long shifts.

Design & Performance

Constructed from Bizflame Rain fabric, which comprises 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre, this jacket is built for durability. The material is a sturdy, substantial weight that feels protective without being overly restrictive. The outer shell is PU-coated to provide a formidable barrier against wind and rain, while the breathable technology ensures that moisture build-up inside the jacket is minimised.

The internal architecture of the jacket is just as impressive. The 100% cotton flame-resistant lining ensures that the garment is comfortable for the wearer, while the modacrylic filling provides the necessary warmth for winter conditions. Every component, from the shell to the filling, has been selected to maintain the garment's multi-norm safety status.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

At MyWorkwear, we understand that professional appearance is just as important as protection. This jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a superior, long-lasting finish, particularly for company logos and staff names, as it provides a textured, high-quality appearance that withstands the rigours of industrial use.

For larger, more vibrant branding, our high-quality printing processes are ideal. Our expert team, based in Telford and operating since 1976, ensures that every customisation is applied with precision, maintaining the professional look your business demands while respecting the technical nature of the flame-resistant fabric.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for professionals in industries such as petrochemicals, utilities, and offshore environments. It is ideal for any worker who faces the dual challenge of harsh winter weather and the risk of flame or static hazards. Whether you are conducting maintenance on a rain-swept site or managing operations in a high-risk zone, this jacket provides the necessary protection.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear underneath. As this is a winter jacket with a substantial filling, it is designed to fit over standard workwear. Ensure that any base layers or sweatshirts worn beneath the jacket also meet the required safety standards for your specific work environment to maintain your overall level of protection.

Caring for your product

To maintain the protective qualities and longevity of this technical garment, it is important to follow the specific care instructions provided. Failure to do so can compromise the flame-resistant and anti-static properties of the fabric.

The jacket should be washed at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures and aggressive agitation can damage the PU coating and the carbon fibres integrated into the shell. Avoid using bleach, as chemical oxidizers will permanently degrade the flame-resistant treatments.

Do not tumble dry this item; instead, it should be drip line dried. Excessive heat from a tumble dryer can shrink the modacrylic filling and warp the water-resistant outer layer. Similarly, do not iron the garment, as direct heat can melt the synthetic shell components. Finally, do not dry clean, as the solvents used in the process can strip the fabric of its essential protective finishes.
