Product Overview

The Premier Women's Windchecker Gilet is a sophisticated piece of technical workwear that balances environmental responsibility with professional performance. Constructed from 100% certified recycled polyester, this medium-weight bodywarmer is designed to offer protection against the elements without the bulk of a full jacket. Carrying the Windchecker trademark, it provides essential wind and water resistance, making it a reliable choice for the unpredictable British weather. The design is specifically tailored for the female form, featuring stitched side panels and a curved hemline to ensure a professional silhouette while maintaining ease of movement.

Key Features
  • Windchecker Technology: Provides a robust barrier against wind and light rain, ensuring comfort during outdoor tasks.
  • Bonded Fleece Inner: The two-layer construction features a soft fleece lining that traps heat efficiently, providing warmth without excessive weight.
  • Secure Zipped Pockets: Two side pockets with zip pulls keep your essentials safe and accessible throughout the working day.
  • Adjustable Elasticated Drawcord: The hem features a plastic cord lock, allowing you to secure the fit and prevent draughts from entering.
  • Integrated Chin Guard: A thoughtful addition to the full-zip cadet collar that prevents irritation and improves comfort when fully fastened.

Design & Performance

Engineered with a focus on durability and sustainability, this gilet is crafted from high-quality recycled polyester. The two-layer softshell fabric is bonded to a fleece interior, creating a garment that is both insulating and breathable. The stitched side panels are not merely aesthetic; they provide structural integrity and a refined feminine fit that avoids the boxy shape common in standard unisex outerwear. The curved hem adds additional coverage at the back, which is particularly beneficial when bending or reaching during manual work.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This garment has been specifically developed with customisation in mind. The smooth outer surface of the softshell fabric is ideally suited for screen printing, allowing for sharp, bold designs that represent your brand with clarity. For a more traditional and elevated appearance, the fabric also supports high-quality embroidery. Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, utilises decades of expertise to ensure your logos and staff names are applied with precision. Whether you require a large printed graphic on the back or a discreet embroidered logo on the chest, this gilet provides an excellent canvas for professional branding.

Use Cases

This gilet is a versatile choice for a variety of sectors, including corporate events, site visits, and logistical operations. Its professional appearance makes it suitable for front-of-house staff who require an extra layer of warmth, while its weather-resistant properties make it equally appropriate for tradespeople working in semi-sheltered environments or transit.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has spent nearly half a century perfecting the art of technical garment customisation. Operating from our specialized facility in Telford, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. We understand that your workwear is a reflection of your business standards, which is why we oversee every stitch and print to ensure the highest quality finish for our customers.

Practical Advice

The gilet is available in a wide size range from XS to 3XL. We recommend reviewing the sizing guide to ensure a comfortable fit, especially if you intend to layer this over a thick sweatshirt or knitwear. The feminine fit is designed to be more tailored, so if you prefer a looser feel for active tasks, you may wish to consider one size larger than your usual measurement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance of the Windchecker fabric and the integrity of your custom branding, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Washing at this temperature effectively removes dirt and oils without damaging the bonded layers of the softshell.

Avoid the use of fabric softeners, as these can coat the fibres and reduce the effectiveness of the water-resistant finish. Similarly, ensure the garment is zipped up before washing to prevent the zip teeth from snagging the fabric or your embroidery. Air drying is recommended to preserve the recycled polyester fibres and ensure the longevity of any printed designs.
