Product Overview

The Premier Womens Supreme Oxford long sleeve shirt is a refined addition to any corporate wardrobe, engineered to offer a superior aesthetic and consistent performance. This is not a standard Oxford shirt; the use of mercerised cotton ensures a polished appearance with enhanced colour depth and fabric stability. The inclusion of organic cotton reflects a modern approach to textile selection, while the addition of elastane provides the necessary stretch for a comfortable, active workday. Designed with a flattering feminine fit, it features back darts and a curved hem, ensuring the garment moves with the wearer while maintaining its shape.

Key Features

  • Mercerised Cotton Finish: This treatment enhances the fabric's radiance and durability, ensuring the shirt maintains its premium look after repeated laundering.
  • Button-Down Collar: Provides a structured, professional appearance that remains neat throughout the day.
  • Detailed Cuffs: Features double-button cuffs with a single-button sleeve guard for adjustable comfort and a traditional finish.
  • Tailored Construction: Back darts assist in creating a feminine silhouette, providing a more fitted look than standard unisex options.
  • Reinforced Design: Side seamed gussets at the curved hemline reduce stress on the fabric joins, increasing the lifespan of the garment.

Design & Performance

The composition of 72% cotton, 25% organic cotton, and 3% elastane creates a lightweight yet resilient fabric. The mercerisation process is the technical highlight here; it swells the cotton fibres to create a smoother surface, which results in a higher lustre and better dye uptake. This means the shirt remains vibrant for longer. The small percentage of elastane is critical for shape retention, preventing the common 'bagging' effect seen in lower-quality cotton shirts after a few hours of wear. The pearlised buttons on the white variant add a subtle, high-end touch to the overall design.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The fine weave of this Oxford shirt makes it an ideal candidate for customisation. Embroidery is particularly recommended for corporate branding, providing a sophisticated, three-dimensional finish for company logos or staff names on the chest or collar. For larger promotional designs, our high-precision printing techniques can be applied effectively. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, who have been perfecting these processes since 1976.

Use Cases

This garment is perfectly suited for professional environments where a sharp, authoritative image is required. It is an excellent choice for management teams, front-of-house hospitality staff, or corporate sales representatives. Its inclusive size range, from XXS to 6XL, makes it a practical solution for outfitting diverse teams with a unified appearance.

Practical Advice

This shirt features a tailored fit due to the back darts. If you prefer a more relaxed feel or intend to layer it over a thermal base in colder months, you may wish to consider moving up one size. The stretch fabric is forgiving, but the Oxford weave is traditionally more structured than a standard poplin.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and finish of this mercerised garment, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Washing at this temperature effectively removes everyday grime without causing undue stress to the organic cotton fibres.

Bleaching agents must be avoided. The use of bleach will chemically strip the dye and degrade the mercerised finish, leading to a loss of lustre and potential fabric thinning.

Do not tumble dry this shirt. High heat from a dryer can damage the elastane components, causing the shirt to lose its stretch and shape. Air drying is the most effective way to preserve the garment's integrity.

Use a low iron setting when pressing. This ensures the fabric remains smooth and crisp without scorching the fibres or affecting the pearlised buttons. Dry cleaning is not recommended, as the harsh chemicals involved can interfere with the fabric's technical treatments.
