Premier Microcheck (Gingham) long sleeve cotton shirt

Product Overview

The Premier PR220 Microcheck shirt represents a sophisticated shift in corporate attire, blending the traditional professional silhouette with a contemporary gingham pattern. Crafted from high-quality yarn-dyed poplin, this garment is designed for professionals who require a sharp appearance without the rigidity of formal dress shirts. Its fitted cut and soft collar styling make it an essential choice for the modern office floor or upscale hospitality environments where a smart-casual balance is paramount.

Key Features

• Fitted style: Contours to the body for a streamlined, tailored appearance that eliminates the excess bulk found in traditional cuts.
• Soft collar styling: Offers a more relaxed and comfortable feel around the neck while maintaining a professional profile.
• Double buttoned cuffs: Provides flexibility for a secure and adjustable fit at the wrist, ensuring the sleeves stay perfectly in place.
• 100% Cotton poplin: A natural fabric choice that ensures maximum breathability and a soft touch against the skin for all-day comfort.
• Back yoke: Enhances the structural integrity of the shirt and ensures it drapes correctly across the shoulders.

Design & Performance

The use of 100% cotton yarn-dyed poplin ensures that this shirt is not only comfortable but also maintains its visual appeal over time. Being yarn-dyed, the gingham pattern is integrated into the fabric itself rather than printed on the surface, which results in superior colour retention and a more premium feel. The lightweight fabric is ideal for temperature-controlled indoor environments, allowing the wearer to remain cool and composed during demanding shifts.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The smooth, fine weave of this cotton shirt provides an exceptional surface for custom branding. For a sophisticated, permanent finish, we recommend embroidery. Placing a company logo on the chest or collar creates a distinguished professional look that withstands frequent laundering. For larger, bold promotional designs, our high-quality printing services offer a crisp and vibrant alternative.

Our expert team in Telford handles all customisation in-house. Since MyWorkwear was established in 1976, we have refined our processes to ensure that every embroidered or printed logo meets our rigorous standards for precision and durability.

Use Cases

This shirt is a versatile workhorse for various professional settings. It is particularly well-suited for front-of-house staff in the hospitality industry, retail management, and corporate office environments. Its modern pattern allows it to be paired easily with chinos for a casual look or formal trousers for a more traditional business aesthetic.

Practical Advice

As this garment features a fitted style, we suggest reviewing the size guide to ensure the chest and waist measurements align with your requirements. The lightweight nature of the cotton poplin makes this shirt an excellent layering piece; it sits comfortably under a blazer or a V-neck sweatshirt without feeling restrictive.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and colour of your shirt, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient for removing daily stains while protecting the natural cotton fibres from the stress of higher heat settings, which can lead to shrinkage.

Avoid the use of bleach or harsh detergents, as these can break down the cotton threads and cause the yarn-dyed pattern to lose its vibrancy. Proper care ensures that your custom branding remains sharp and your professional appearance is preserved over the lifespan of the garment.
