Product Overview

The Portwest WX2 Eco Hi-Vis Padded Softshell is a thoughtfully engineered solution for professionals who require both high visibility and protection from the elements. This two-layer jacket provides a sophisticated balance between thermal insulation and ease of movement. By choosing an eco-conscious garment, you are investing in a product that considers its environmental footprint without compromising on the rigorous safety standards required for the modern workplace. It is a reliable choice for those who need to remain visible and comfortable throughout the working day.

Key Features
  • High-Visibility Colourways: Available in Orange/Black and Yellow/Black to ensure you remain conspicuous in low-light environments, which is essential for maintaining safety on site.
  • Padded Softshell Construction: The internal padding provides necessary warmth during colder shifts, while the softshell outer layer ensures the garment remains flexible rather than cumbersome.
  • Unisex Design: A versatile cut that accommodates all team members, allowing for a uniform and cohesive appearance across your entire workforce.
  • Broad Size Range: Available from Small up to 6XL, ensuring that every member of your team can be provided with a professional and well-fitting garment.

Design & Performance

Constructed from 100% polyester, this medium-weight jacket is built for the demands of active work. The two-layer softshell fabric is designed to offer a degree of weather resistance while remaining breathable enough to prevent overheating during physical exertion. Unlike heavier, more restrictive coats, this garment allows for a full range of motion, which is vital when operating machinery or handling materials. The substantial feel of the fabric provides a sense of security and durability, ensuring it withstands the daily rigours of trade work without premature wear.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation.

Embroidery is an excellent choice for those seeking a premium, textured finish. It is particularly well-suited for company logos and individual names, providing a sophisticated appearance that remains intact through frequent laundering without fading. For larger, more striking designs or a more extensive range of colours, our high-quality printing service offers a bold and clear finish. Our dedicated in-house team in Telford has been perfecting these techniques since 1976, ensuring your branding is applied with the utmost precision and care.

Use Cases

This jacket is ideally suited for professionals working in construction, road maintenance, or logistics where visibility is paramount. It is an excellent choice for site managers, surveyors, and outdoor workers who need to transition between different environments while maintaining a professional appearance and staying warm in unpredictable weather.

Practical Advice

Because this softshell is padded, it offers more warmth than a standard unlined jacket, meaning you may require fewer layers underneath. When selecting your size, consider the garments you typically wear for work; the generous size range up to 6XL ensures that even with a sweatshirt underneath, you can maintain a professional and comfortable fit that does not restrict movement.

Caring for your product

To ensure your jacket continues to perform and protect you effectively, proper maintenance is essential. High-visibility garments rely on the integrity of their fabric and reflective elements to keep you safe in hazardous conditions.

We strongly recommend following the specific instructions found on the internal care label of the garment. Neglecting these guidelines—such as using inappropriate detergents or incorrect wash temperatures—can degrade the reflective properties and the technical fabric, eventually rendering the garment less effective. Ensuring the jacket is cleaned correctly will also help maintain the vibrancy of your custom branding for the long term.
