Product Overview
The WX2 Eco Hi-Vis Hybrid Jacket represents a sophisticated approach to modern workwear, balancing environmental responsibility with technical performance. This garment is constructed using GRS-certified recycled materials, offering a sustainable solution without compromising on the protection required for professional use. Its unique hybrid design integrates a water-resistant and windproof softshell with an insulated baffle section, ensuring you remain warm and dry without the restrictive bulk of a traditional heavy coat.
Key Features
- 2-Layer GRS Softshell: The outer fabric is bonded to a micro polar fleece, providing a windproof barrier that also helps to regulate body temperature.
- Insulated Baffle Sections: Using GRS polyester wadding, these panels trap heat around the core to maintain warmth in cold conditions.
- Ripstop Outer Fabric: The insulated sections are protected by a durable ripstop weave, which prevents small snags from turning into significant tears.
- Retro-Reflective Tape: High-quality reflective strips are strategically positioned to enhance visibility, ensuring you remain conspicuous to colleagues and vehicle operators.
- Integrated Stretch Panels: High-flex areas feature a polyester and elastane blend, allowing for an unrestricted range of motion during physical tasks.
Design & Performance
The engineering behind the WX2 Eco Hybrid Jacket focuses on the practical needs of the active tradesperson. The softshell fabric is a substantial, medium-weight material that offers excellent weather resistance while remaining breathable. By bonding the shell to a micro polar fleece, the jacket provides a soft interior feel that stays comfortable throughout a full shift.
Durability is built into the fabric composition. The use of polyester ripstop in the lower body ensures that the most exposed areas of the jacket can withstand the rigours of site work. Meanwhile, the contemporary contrast panels give the jacket a modern, professional silhouette that looks as good as it performs.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
For a professional appearance that instils confidence in your clients, we recommend embroidery for your company logo or staff names. Our in-house team uses high-precision machinery to ensure a clean, durable finish that withstands regular laundering. Because this jacket features high-visibility tape, we take care to position your branding so it complements the safety features of the garment.
If you require larger, high-impact branding across the back, our print services are an excellent choice. This method allows for bold, vibrant designs that are clearly visible from a distance. All customisation is handled at our Telford-based facility, where we have been perfecting our craft since 1976.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for professionals working in construction, logistics, and roadside maintenance where high visibility is a safety requirement. Because of its hybrid construction, it is particularly effective for those who transition between active physical work and stationary tasks, as it manages heat efficiently while providing essential wind protection.

Practical Advice
This jacket is designed with a contemporary fit, meaning it sits closer to the body to maximise the thermal efficiency of the baffle insulation. If you intend to wear multiple heavy layers underneath, you may wish to consider a larger size. The stretch panels will accommodate natural movement, but ensuring the correct fit is essential for maintaining the performance of the retro-reflective tape.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility properties and the structural integrity of the GRS-certified fabrics, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the bonding of the softshell and degrade the reflective tape over time.
Do not use bleach, as this will compromise the fluorescent orange pigment and weaken the synthetic fibres. We also advise against tumble drying; instead, line dry the jacket to ensure the insulation remains evenly distributed and the shape is preserved. Do not iron the garment, as high direct heat can melt the polyester shell and damage the reflective elements.
Please note that this garment is rated for a maximum of 25 washes. Exceeding this limit may reduce the effectiveness of the high-visibility components, which could impact its compliance with safety standards.
