Product Overview
The Stretch Slim Fit Combat Trousers are a contemporary evolution of the traditional work trouser, combining the functional utility of a cargo style with a modern, streamlined silhouette. Engineered for the modern professional, these trousers utilise dynamic cotton stretch twill to provide a superior range of motion without sacrificing the professional appearance required on-site or in front of clients. The slim fit design ensures a neat look that remains practical for active roles.
Key Features
- Kingsmill Cotton Stretch Fabric: The blend of high-quality cotton and elastane provides a flexible fit that moves with the wearer, reducing resistance during physical tasks.
- Multiple Utility Pockets: Strategically placed pockets offer secure storage for essential tools and mobile devices, keeping equipment within reach at all times.
- Concealed Hook and Bar Waist Fastening: This provides a secure and flat closure, preventing snagging and ensuring a clean aesthetic.
- Twin Stitching and Bar-Tacking: Reinforced stitching at all stress points significantly increases the lifespan of the garment, ensuring it withstands the rigours of daily work.
Design & Performance
Constructed from Kingsmill Cotton Stretch—comprising 98% cotton and 2% elastane—this medium-weight fabric offers the natural breathability and comfort of cotton with the necessary flexibility provided by elastane. The twill weave is inherently robust, designed to resist abrasions commonly encountered in industrial environments. The slim fit is tailored to sit closer to the leg, providing a professional look that prevents excess fabric from becoming a snag hazard, while the dynamic stretch ensures that kneeling, climbing, and lifting remain unrestricted.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
These combat trousers are an excellent canvas for company branding. For a high-end, professional appearance, we recommend embroidery on the pocket flaps or thigh area. Embroidery provides a durable finish that withstands industrial laundering and frequent wear. Alternatively, for larger, more vibrant logos or promotional messaging, heat-applied print is available. Our Telford-based team, with expertise dating back to 1976, manages the entire customisation process in-house to ensure your branding meets our rigorous quality standards.
Use Cases
These trousers are perfectly suited for tradespeople, delivery personnel, and site managers who require a balance between a professional appearance and functional performance. They are particularly effective in roles that involve significant movement, such as plumbing, electrical work, or facilities management, where the stretch fabric prevents the restricted feeling often associated with traditional heavy-duty work trousers.

Practical Advice
As these trousers feature a slim fit design, they are intended to sit closer to the body than a standard combat trouser. If you prefer a more generous fit or intend to wear thermal base layers during winter months, you may wish to consider your sizing carefully. The stretch fabric will accommodate movement, but the overall cut is tailored.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and the elasticity of the fabric, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the elastane fibres, leading to a loss of shape and reduced flexibility over time.
Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals will break down the cotton fibres and cause premature fading of the black colour. We also advise against tumble drying; instead, use drip line drying to prevent shrinkage and maintain the original fit of the trousers.
If ironing is required, please ensure the iron is set to a maximum of 150°C. Excessive heat can scorched the fabric or damage any applied print or embroidery. For the best results and to maintain a professional finish, the garment is also suitable for professional dry cleaning using tetrachloroethene.
