Product Overview

The Steel Leather Ankle Boot is a substantial footwear solution engineered for those who operate in the most demanding industrial environments. Built from robust leather, this heavy-duty boot is designed to provide maximum protection without sacrificing the wearer's mobility. It is a sturdy choice for professionals who require a dependable barrier between their feet and the hazards of a modern worksite.

Key Features
  • TPU Heel Counter and Ankle Protector: These integrated components provide essential lateral support and impact protection, reducing the risk of strain and injury on uneven ground.
  • Integrated Scuff Cap: The reinforced scuff cap protects the leather at the toe from abrasion, significantly extending the lifespan of the boot during tasks that require kneeling.
  • Concealed Laces: By shielding the lacing system, the boot minimizes the risk of snagging and protects the front of the foot from debris and sparks.
  • Heat Resistant Outsole: The specialized sole is designed to withstand high temperatures, ensuring the structural integrity of the boot is maintained in hot working conditions.
  • Fuel, Oil, and Water Resistant: The materials and construction are specifically chosen to repel liquids that commonly cause degradation in standard footwear.

Design & Performance

This boot is built to the EN ISO 20345:2022 S3 standard, representing a high tier of safety performance. The engineered tread pattern is not merely for aesthetics; it is designed to provide superior slip resistance and agility on unpredictable terrain. The combination of a sturdy leather upper and a high-traction outsole ensures that the wearer remains stable and protected, whether they are navigating fuel-slicked floors or rugged outdoor sites.

Why No Customisation?

At MyWorkwear, we prioritise your safety above all else. This specific boot is not available for customisation because any modification to the leather upper, such as embroidery or heat-seal transfers, could compromise the integrity of the protective barrier. To ensure the boot continues to meet its S3 safety certification and maintains its water-resistant properties, it is supplied in its original, tested form.

Use Cases

These boots are ideally suited for heavy industry, construction sites, and civil engineering projects. The heat-resistant properties also make them a sensible choice for individuals working in proximity to hot surfaces or in environments where fuel and oil spills are a frequent occurrence. For those traversing uneven terrain, the advanced tread and ankle support provide the necessary confidence to move safely.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been a trusted partner for businesses across the UK. Operating from our base in Telford, we bring decades of technical expertise to the selection of our product range. We understand that workwear is not just a uniform—it is a critical tool for your trade, and we only supply products that meet our exacting standards for durability and safety.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider that these boots are designed for heavy-duty use and may feel substantial compared to standard footwear. We recommend pairing them with a high-quality work sock to ensure a secure fit and to aid in the breaking-in period of the sturdy leather upper.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the cleanliness of your boots is the first step in ensuring their long-term performance. Removing mud and grit after each shift prevents the leather from drying out and cracking prematurely, which would otherwise compromise the boot's water resistance.

If the boots become wet, they should be allowed to dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators. Forced drying can cause the leather to become brittle and lose its protective qualities. Periodically applying a suitable leather conditioner will keep the material supple and ensure the boot continues to provide the high level of protection you expect.
