Product Overview
The Sealtex Ocean Jacket is engineered for those who work in the most unforgiving environments. Part of our All Weather Protection range, this jacket is designed to offer substantial foul weather protection without compromising on wearer comfort. It is a robust, functional garment built to withstand the rigours of outdoor professional use, ensuring that staying dry is one less thing you need to worry about during a shift.
Key Features
- Integrated hood with peak and drawstrings: Provides a secure fit and prevents rain from obscuring your vision during heavy downpours.
- Storm flap with concealed heavy-duty plastic zip: Offers an additional barrier against wind and water ingress while maintaining a clean, professional profile.
- Full strip of hook and loop fastening: Ensures the storm flap remains securely closed even in turbulent conditions.
- High frequency welded seams: Unlike stitched seams, these are physically fused together to guarantee a completely waterproof finish in extreme conditions.
- Dual cuff system: Features adjustable outer cuffs and elasticated inner cuffs to prevent water from running up your sleeves when working with your hands raised.
Design & Performance
Constructed from Sealtex Ocean fabric—a high-calibre blend of Polyester Tricot with a substantial PVC and PU coating—this jacket is a heavy-weight solution for wet weather. The fabric is specifically designed to be waterproof and flexible, meeting the EN 343 Class 4:1 X standard. This ensures that the wearer remains dry even when exposed to high-pressure water. The use of high frequency welding on all seams ensures there are no needle holes for water to penetrate, providing a superior level of protection compared to standard rainwear.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
Despite its heavy-duty waterproof coating, the Sealtex Ocean Jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery. Our in-house customisation team, based in Telford since 1976, can help you maintain a professional appearance while keeping your team dry.
Embroidery is an excellent choice for smaller logos or staff names, providing a durable and professional finish that stands up to hard work. For larger, more prominent branding on the back of the jacket, our high-quality printing services ensure your logo remains visible even in poor weather. We handle all customisation on-site to ensure the highest standards of quality control and brand consistency.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideal for professionals working in maritime environments, agriculture, or outdoor construction where exposure to heavy rain is a daily occurrence. It is particularly well-suited for those who require a garment that can handle physical activity while providing a reliable barrier against the elements.

Practical Advice
As this is a substantial outer layer designed for foul weather, we recommend considering your layering requirements. The fit is designed to allow for a fleece or sweatshirt underneath, ensuring you stay warm as well as dry. When selecting your size, please account for the thickness of your usual work attire to ensure full range of movement.
Caring for your product
To ensure your jacket continues to provide maximum protection against the elements, it is essential to follow the recommended care instructions. Maintaining the integrity of the PVC and PU coating is vital for the garment's long-term performance.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using harsh cycles can damage the welded seams and the waterproof coating. Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the polyester tricot and weaken the fabric structure, leading to premature wear.
The jacket should be drip line dried only. Never tumble dry this garment, as the heat will likely melt or warp the synthetic coating, rendering the waterproof properties ineffective. Similarly, do not iron or dry clean the jacket; high heat and chemical solvents are incompatible with the Sealtex Ocean materials and will cause permanent damage to the fabric.
