Product Overview
The Bizflame Work+ FR Jacket is an expertly engineered garment designed for professionals operating in environments where flame and chemical hazards are a daily reality. Certified to EN13034, this jacket provides reliable protection against liquid chemicals while simultaneously offering essential flame-resistant properties. The grey medium-weight fabric is as much about comfort as it is about compliance, ensuring that safety does not come at the expense of wearer mobility or breathability.
Key Features
- Certified Chemical Resistance: Meeting the EN13034 standard, this jacket provides a vital barrier against chemical splashes, ensuring safety in laboratory or industrial processing environments.
- Integrated Flame Resistance: The fabric is specifically treated for flame resistance, providing a consistent level of protection throughout the lifespan of the garment.
- Anti-Static Properties: The inclusion of carbon fibre allows for effective static dissipation, which is critical in environments where sparks could lead to volatile situations.
- Metal-Free Closure: The secure stud and zip front closure is entirely metal-free, making it suitable for high-security environments or areas where non-conductivity is required.
- Superior Cotton Construction: With a 99% cotton composition, the jacket offers the natural breathability and comfort required for long shifts in demanding settings.
Design & Performance
The Bizflame Work+ fabric has been developed to strike a precise balance between technical performance and everyday wearability. The medium-weight construction ensures the jacket is substantial enough to withstand the rigours of industrial work without being overly restrictive. By blending 99% high-quality cotton with 1% carbon fibre, the material feels soft against the skin and breathes naturally, preventing overheating during physical exertion.
Durability is at the forefront of the design. The chemical finish is applied to the superior cotton base to ensure the garment maintains its protective qualities even after repeated use. The inclusion of a secure stud and zip front closure provides a double layer of protection against the elements and workplace hazards, ensuring a professional appearance that performs under pressure.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
For businesses looking to maintain a professional corporate identity while adhering to strict safety standards, this jacket is an ideal candidate for customisation. Embroidery is a preferred choice for company logos and staff names, providing a durable and high-quality finish that withstands industrial laundering. For larger, more prominent branding, our high-definition print processes offer excellent clarity.
All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. Having been in the business since 1976, we understand how to apply branding to technical safety garments without compromising the integrity of the protective fabrics.
Use Cases
This jacket is specifically designed for professionals in chemical processing, petrol-chemical industries, and any environment where there is a combined risk of flame exposure and chemical splashes. It is also well-suited for electronic assembly or sensitive manufacturing environments where anti-static (ESD) protection is a prerequisite.

Practical Advice
To ensure full-body protection, we recommend pairing this jacket with the FR417 FR Chemical Resistant Trousers. This creates a cohesive safety uniform that meets the same high standards of flame and chemical resistance. When choosing your size, consider the layers you typically wear underneath; the medium-weight fabric is designed to fit comfortably over base layers without restricting movement.
Caring for your product
To maintain the protective chemical finish and flame-resistant properties of this jacket, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Exceeding this temperature can lead to premature degradation of the fabric treatments, reducing the garment's effectiveness in hazardous situations.
Chlorine-based bleach must not be used on this garment. Bleaching agents will compromise the integrity of the flame-resistant chemicals and can damage the carbon fibres that provide anti-static protection.
When drying, use a low-heat tumble dry setting. High heat during the drying process can cause excessive shrinkage in cotton-rich fabrics and may affect the fit of the jacket. If ironing is required, ensure the temperature does not exceed 150°C to protect the chemical finish.
Do not dry clean this garment. The solvents used in dry cleaning processes can strip away the essential protective finishes that make this jacket suitable for chemical and flame-resistant environments.
