Product Overview
The Sealtex Flame FR Jacket is a highly engineered piece of protective equipment designed for those who work in demanding conditions where both weather protection and flame resistance are paramount. This jacket forms part of our Flame Resistant Multi-Norm range, offering a sophisticated balance between safety and utility. Unlike standard waterproofs, this garment is constructed from specialized Sealtex Flame fabric, ensuring that you remain dry and protected without the bulk of traditional heavy-duty outerwear.
Key Features
- Studded Storm Flap: This provides a secondary barrier against wind and rain, ensuring that moisture does not penetrate the primary fastening during foul weather.
- Front Flapped Pockets: These offer secure storage for essential tools and personal items, with the flap design preventing water from reaching the contents.
- Adjustable Cuffs: These allow the wearer to create a secure seal around the wrists or gloves, which is vital for preventing cold draughts and water ingress during active tasks.
- Flame Resistant and Chemical Resistant Properties: The fabric is specifically designed to provide a high level of protection against flame hazards and chemical splashes, which is essential for safety-critical environments.
Design & Performance
Performance is at the heart of the Sealtex Flame fabric. Comprising a 100% Polyester base with a specialized PU coating, the material is inherently lightweight and stretchy. This flexibility is a significant advantage for tradespeople who require a full range of movement while working. Despite its flexible nature, the fabric is exceptionally durable and designed to withstand the rigours of industrial use. The waterproof and windproof capabilities ensure that the wearer remains comfortable and focused, regardless of the severity of the weather conditions.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
At MyWorkwear, we understand that professional identification is as important as the protection the garment provides. The Sealtex Flame FR Jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is the preferred choice for displaying company logos or individual names, providing a permanent and highly professional finish. For larger, high-visibility branding on the back or chest, our printing services offer a bold and clear result.
All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility. Since 1976, our expert team has been ensuring that every logo is applied with precision, maintaining the integrity of the garment while enhancing your business's professional appearance.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideal for professionals working in the utilities, petrochemical, and construction sectors where there is a combined risk of adverse weather and flame exposure. It is particularly effective for outdoor workers who require a lightweight but robust outer layer that does not restrict movement during technical tasks.

Practical Advice
As this is a lightweight jacket designed for protection against rain and flame, we recommend layering it over appropriate flame-resistant base layers or mid-layers in colder temperatures. The adjustable cuffs and storm flap should be correctly fastened to ensure the waterproof seal remains effective throughout the working day.
Caring for your product
To ensure this jacket continues to provide maximum protection and maintains its professional appearance, proper maintenance is essential. Neglecting these instructions can compromise the protective PU coating and the flame-resistant properties of the garment.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a normal process. This temperature is sufficient to remove workplace grime without damaging the technical fibres of the Sealtex Flame fabric or any custom branding applied by our team.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleach is a harsh chemical that can break down the flame-resistant treatment and cause the navy colour to fade prematurely, reducing the professional look of your workwear.
The jacket should not be tumble dried. High heat from a tumble dryer can cause the PU coating to crack or peel, which would immediately nullify the waterproof and chemical-resistant benefits of the jacket.
Ironing is strictly prohibited. The heat from an iron will melt the PU coating and damage the polyester base, leading to permanent structural failure of the garment.
Finally, do not dry clean this jacket. The solvents used in the dry cleaning process are often too aggressive for specialized flame-resistant coatings and can strip away the protective barriers that keep you safe on the job.
