Product Overview
The Bizflame Rain+ Hi-Vis Multi-Norm Contrast FR Trousers are a sophisticated protective garment engineered for professionals operating in multi-risk environments. These trousers are designed to offer a comprehensive shield against flame, arc flash, and adverse weather conditions without compromising on wearer comfort. The inclusion of a flame-resistant cotton lining ensures a soft feel against the skin, while the technical outer shell provides the robust protection required for hazardous industrial settings.
Key Features
- Elasticated Waist: Designed for practicality, the elasticated waist allows these trousers to be easily pulled over existing workwear, facilitating quick changes as conditions dictate.
- Ripstop Fabric Construction: The use of a 7mm ripstop pattern significantly increases the fabric's resistance to tearing and abrasion, ensuring a longer service life in demanding roles.
- Reflective Standards Label: Positioned on the thigh, this label allows for immediate identification of the garment's protective certifications, essential for safety compliance on-site.
- PU Coated Outer: The specialized coating provides a reliable barrier against rain, keeping the operative dry while maintaining the garment's flame-resistant integrity.
Design & Performance
Performance is at the heart of the Bizflame Rain+ range. The fabric is a technical blend of polyester, modacrylic, cotton, and carbon fibre. The modacrylic and cotton components provide inherent flame resistance and breathability, while the carbon fibre provides vital anti-static properties. This medium-weight construction ensures the wearer is protected from light arc flash and heat without the burden of excessive bulk.
The contrast design in Yellow and Navy is not merely aesthetic; it serves to maintain high visibility while hiding dirt in high-contact areas. The internal flame-resistant cotton lining adds a layer of thermal protection and comfort, making these trousers suitable for extended shifts in unpredictable climates.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team presents a professional appearance while maintaining safety standards, these trousers can be customized with your company branding. Embroidery is highly recommended for adding company logos or staff names, providing a durable and high-quality finish that withstands the rigours of industrial use.
For larger, more prominent branding, heat-applied printing is an excellent alternative. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. Having been established in 1976, we have decades of experience in ensuring that branding is applied without compromising the protective technical properties of the garment.
Use Cases
These trousers are specifically designed for workers in the utilities, petrochemical, and rail industries, or any environment where there is a combined risk of flame, arc flash, and low visibility. They are particularly effective for outdoor maintenance crews who require reliable waterproof protection alongside their safety specifications.

Practical Advice
For the most comprehensive protection, we recommend pairing these trousers with the FR605 jacket. Due to the elasticated waist, these are designed to be worn over standard work trousers; if you are between sizes, we suggest selecting the larger size to allow for comfortable layering.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance characteristics of the Bizflame Rain+ fabric, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions provided. Failure to do so may compromise the flame-resistant and waterproof properties of the garment.
We recommend a maximum wash temperature of 40°C using a normal process. This temperature is sufficient to remove workplace grime without degrading the technical fibres or the PU coating.
Under no circumstances should you use bleach. Bleaching agents will chemically damage the flame-resistant properties of the fabric, rendering the trousers unsafe for use in hazardous environments.
For drying, use a low tumble dry setting or line dry the garment. Excessive heat during the drying process can cause the synthetic fibres to become brittle. If ironing is required, use a maximum soleplate temperature of 110°C; higher temperatures may damage the waterproof coating and the reflective elements.
Do not dry clean this garment. The chemicals used in dry cleaning can strip the protective finishes from the fabric, reducing its effectiveness against rain and flame.
