Product Overview
The Sealtex AIR Jacket is a well-engineered solution for professionals who require reliable protection within the All Weather Protection range. Designed to balance exceptional water resistance with breathable performance, this jacket ensures the wearer remains dry without the discomfort of internal moisture build-up. Its navy finish provides a professional appearance suitable for a wide variety of industrial and commercial environments, while the generous fit accommodates layering during colder spells.
Key Features
- Welded Seams: By using welded seams rather than traditional stitching, the garment provides a complete barrier against water ingress, ensuring you remain dry in heavy downpours.
- Breathable Fabric: The advanced fabric construction allows moisture vapour to escape, which is essential for maintaining comfort during physically demanding tasks.
- Tough Outer Shell: The resilient material is designed to withstand the rigours of a busy workplace, reducing the risk of tears or abrasions.
- Generous Fit: This design choice ensures ease of movement and provides ample room to wear the jacket over standard work attire or insulation layers.
Design & Performance
Constructed from Sealtex Air fabric—comprising a 100% Polyester Tricot base with a PU coating—this jacket is a lightweight yet sturdy piece of equipment. The tricot knit provides a degree of flexibility that is often missing in traditional waterproofs, while the PU coating acts as a formidable shield against wind and rain. Despite its lightweight nature, the fabric is remarkably durable, making it a practical choice for those who are frequently exposed to the elements. The performance is further enhanced by the garment's ability to remain supple even in lower temperatures, ensuring it does not become brittle or restrictive.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Sealtex AIR Jacket is an excellent canvas for company branding. For a superior finish, we recommend embroidery for chest-placed company logos or staff names; it provides a professional look that withstands regular wear. If you require large, bold designs on the back of the jacket for high visibility or identification purposes, our high-quality printing process is the ideal alternative. All customisation is handled at our Telford facility by our expert in-house team, who have been perfecting garment decoration since 1976.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for outdoor workers in the logistics, construction, and agricultural sectors. It is also an excellent choice for site managers and supervisors who need to transition between vehicles and exposed outdoor environments. Given its navy colour and sleek design, it fits seamlessly into corporate workwear uniforms where both functionality and a professional appearance are required.

Practical Advice
Due to the generous fit of the Sealtex AIR Jacket, we recommend selecting your standard size if you intend to wear it over a medium-weight sweatshirt or fleece. If you prefer a more tailored fit and only plan to wear it over a lightweight polo shirt, you may wish to consider how the extra room will affect your movement. Always ensure the welded seams are kept clear of sharp tools to maintain the integrity of the waterproof barrier.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance waterproof and breathable properties of this jacket, we recommend a mild process wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove workplace dirt without damaging the PU coating or the polyester tricot base.
Bleaching agents must never be used on this garment. Harsh chemicals will degrade the synthetic fibres and the protective coating, leading to a loss of waterproof integrity. Similarly, the jacket should not be dry cleaned, as the solvents used in that process are too aggressive for the Sealtex Air material.
For drying, the jacket should be drip line dried only. Using a tumble dryer introduces high heat that can cause the welded seams to delamination and the PU coating to peel. For the same reason, do not iron this garment; the application of direct heat from an iron will melt the fabric and permanently damage the jacket.
