Product Overview

The PW3 Modaflame Work Hi-Vis Multi-Norm FR Jacket represents a sophisticated approach to personal protective equipment, merging contemporary design with stringent safety standards. This medium-weight jacket is engineered for professionals operating in environments where flame resistance and high visibility are non-negotiable. Its two-tone aesthetic is not merely for show; it provides a professional silhouette while ensuring the wearer remains conspicuous in low-light conditions.

Key Features
  • Segmented Reflective Trim: Unlike traditional solid tapes, this segmented heat-applied trim allows for greater garment flexibility and breathability, moving with the wearer rather than resisting them.
  • Smart Phone Compatible Top Pocket: Specifically dimensioned to accommodate modern mobile devices, ensuring your essential communication tools are always within reach.
  • Secure Zipped Lower Pockets: Spacious storage options equipped with zips provide a secure environment for tools or personal items, preventing accidental loss during active shifts.
  • Adjustable Hook and Loop Cuffs: These allow for a precise fit around the wrists, preventing debris from entering the sleeves and ensuring a compatible fit with work gloves.
  • Reinforced Twin Stitched Seams: By doubling the stitching on critical stress points, the jacket offers significantly enhanced durability, ensuring the garment remains intact under the rigours of industrial work.

Design & Performance

The technical excellence of this jacket lies in its fabric composition. The primary shell is constructed from Modaflame Work HV, a blend of 60% Modacrylic, 39% Cotton, and 1% Carbon Fibre. This combination ensures inherent flame resistance that will not wash out, alongside essential anti-static protection. The cotton content ensures the jacket remains breathable and comfortable against the skin, even during extended periods of wear.

Furthermore, the inclusion of Modaflame Work Stretch panels—which incorporate 4% Elastane—provides necessary mechanical stretch. This allows for an increased range of movement and greater flexibility, which is vital for workers who must climb, bend, or reach as part of their daily tasks. The result is a substantial, sturdy garment that does not feel restrictive.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team presents a cohesive and professional image, this jacket is fully compatible with both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos and individual names, providing a textured, high-quality finish that withstands industrial laundering. For larger, more complex branding or safety messaging, our high-definition print processes offer bold visibility.

All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. With MyWorkwear's heritage dating back to 1976, we apply decades of technical knowledge to ensure your branding is applied precisely without compromising the flame-retardant properties of the technical fabric.

Use Cases

This multi-norm jacket is designed for professionals in high-risk sectors such as petrochemicals, utility engineering, and electrical maintenance. It is an essential garment for anyone requiring protection against heat, flame, and static build-up while needing to maintain high visibility in industrial or roadside environments.

Why MyWorkwear

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a British institution established in 1976. Based in Telford, we have spent nearly half a century perfecting the art of technical workwear. We understand that your clothing is more than just a uniform; it is a critical piece of safety equipment. Our longevity in the industry is a testament to our commitment to quality, expertise, and customer service.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear beneath the jacket. As a medium-weight outer layer, it is designed to fit comfortably over base layers or sweatshirts. For those working in particularly cold environments, we recommend sizing up slightly to accommodate thicker thermal garments while maintaining full range of motion.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and safety certifications of this flame-resistant garment, proper care is essential. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a normal process. Exceeding this temperature can lead to premature degradation of the fibres and may affect the reflective properties of the trim.

Do not use bleach under any circumstances. Bleaching agents will compromise the chemical structure of the inherent flame-resistant fibres and significantly reduce the protective lifespan of the jacket.

For drying, use a low temperature tumble dry setting. High heat in a dryer can cause unnecessary shrinkage and stress on the seams. If ironing is required, use a maximum sole-plate temperature of 150°C to remove creases without scorching the technical fabric.

Finally, this jacket should not be dry cleaned. The chemicals used in dry cleaning processes are often incompatible with flame-resistant treatments and high-visibility coatings, potentially rendering the garment unsafe for use in hazardous zones.
