Product Overview

The PW3 Hi-Vis Women's Winter Jacket is a technically advanced outer layer designed specifically to meet the demands of the modern female workforce. Engineering a jacket that balances high-visibility requirements with ergonomic comfort is a challenge we take seriously. This garment utilises Portwest Extreme stretch fabric, a soft-touch material that provides a waterproof and windproof barrier without the restrictive feel of traditional heavy-duty coats. It is a sophisticated solution for those who require certified protection and thermal regulation in the most unforgiving environments.

Key Features

  • The integrated Insulatex Pro thermal insulation provides exceptional warmth by trapping body heat within its lightweight fibre structure, ensuring the wearer remains comfortable without the bulk of traditional padding.
  • Certified to EN343 Class 4:1, this jacket offers superior waterproof protection and breathability, allowing moisture vapour to escape while keeping heavy rain out.
  • Side entry pockets with long double-pullers are strategically placed to ensure easy access even when the wearer is equipped with a safety harness.
  • A removable helmet-compatible hood features a 3-point adjustment system and a shaped peak, providing clear peripheral vision and a secure fit in high winds.
  • The extended back length provides additional coverage and protection against dirt and draughts when bending or reaching on site.

Design & Performance

The performance of this jacket is rooted in its material composition. The shell is constructed from a 100% Polyester Stretch Twill with a PU membrane. This combination allows for a natural range of motion, which is essential for active roles. Inside, the lining is a smooth polyester pongee that glides easily over base layers, reducing friction and fatigue over a long shift. The insulation is substantial enough for winter conditions yet remains impressively lightweight, ensuring the jacket does not become a burden during physical exertion.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

At MyWorkwear, we understand that your uniform is your business card. This jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery, handled by our expert team in Telford. For a sophisticated professional appearance, embroidery is the preferred choice for company logos on the chest, providing a durable and high-quality finish. If you require large-scale branding or high-impact graphics, our thermal printing process ensures your design remains bold and visible against the high-visibility fabric. Since 1976, we have been ensuring that customisation enhances, rather than compromises, the technical integrity of the garment.

Use Cases

This jacket is ideally suited for professionals in civil engineering, highway maintenance, and construction management. Its harness-compatible design makes it a practical choice for those working at height or in technical rescue roles. Given its waterproof and thermal properties, it is the appropriate equipment for any outdoor operative facing the unpredictability of the British winter.

When you choose MyWorkwear, you are partnering with a team that understands the importance of durability, safety certification, and brand consistency. We don't just supply clothing; we provide well-engineered equipment that helps you do your job safely.

Practical Advice

This jacket features a contemporary fit designed for the female form. For optimal performance, we recommend wearing it over a moisture-wicking base layer to allow the breathable PU membrane to work effectively. If you anticipate wearing multiple heavy layers underneath, you may wish to consider the generous adjustment options provided by the cuffs and hood to ensure a secure fit.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the technical performance of your hi-vis jacket is essential for long-term safety and the preservation of its waterproof properties. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C using a mild process. Exceeding this temperature can damage the PU membrane and reduce the effectiveness of the stretch fibres.

Bleach must be avoided at all costs. The chemicals in bleach will degrade the high-visibility pigments and weaken the structural integrity of the polyester shell, rendering the safety certifications void.

Do not tumble dry this garment. High heat from a dryer can melt the synthetic fibres and damage the reflective tape. Instead, utilize a drip line dry method, which allows the jacket to regain its shape naturally without compromising the thermal insulation.

Ironing is strictly prohibited. The heat from an iron will cause permanent damage to the waterproof coating and the reflective elements. Furthermore, the garment is limited to a maximum of 50 washes; beyond this, the high-visibility properties may fall below the required safety standards, and the jacket should be replaced.
