Product Overview

The PW3 Hi-Vis Winter Parka Jacket is a precision-engineered piece of outerwear designed for those who work in the most unforgiving environments. This jacket is not merely a coat; it is a technical barrier against the elements, combining a modern fit with robust functionality. Constructed from durable 300D Oxford polyester, it offers a professional appearance while providing the essential warmth required for extreme cold weather. The inclusion of HiVisTex Pro reflective tape ensures you remain visible in low-light conditions, while the orange and black colour scheme provides a contemporary look that adheres to safety requirements.

Key Features

  • 300D Oxford Polyester Fabric: The outer shell is exceptionally durable and features a stain-resistant finish, ensuring the jacket remains looking professional even in demanding work environments.
  • Insulatex Lining: This heavyweight thermal lining provides superior warmth by trapping heat close to the body without adding unnecessary bulk.
  • Underarm Zips: These provide essential breathability, allowing for temperature regulation during periods of high physical activity.
  • Insulated Hood with Detachable Fur Trim: Offers versatile protection for the head and face against biting winds and snow.
  • Double PU Coating: This treatment ensures the fabric is waterproof, keeping the wearer dry in heavy rain or sleet.
  • HiVisTex Pro Reflective Tape: A segmented tape design that allows for increased freedom of movement while maintaining maximum visibility.

Design & Performance

The performance of this parka lies in its construction. The 300D Oxford weave is specifically chosen for its high resistance to abrasion and tearing, making it suitable for heavy-duty use. The fabric is treated with a stain-resistant finish, which is particularly useful for those working in industries where oil or dirt is a daily reality. Inside, the Insulatex lining provides a substantial thermal barrier, while the 100% polyester filling ensures that heat retention is prioritised.

Attention to detail is evident in the inclusion of underarm zips. While many winter jackets can lead to overheating during physical labour, these zips allow for immediate ventilation. The double PU coating provides a reliable waterproof barrier, ensuring that moisture does not penetrate the insulation, which is critical for maintaining warmth in wet conditions.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

At MyWorkwear, we understand that your clothing is a reflection of your business. This parka is well-suited for both print and embroidery, handled by our expert in-house team in Telford. For a traditional, professional appearance that stands the test of time, we recommend embroidery for company logos or staff names on the chest area. The dense weave of the Oxford fabric provides an excellent foundation for high-quality stitching.

If you require larger, more striking branding on the back of the jacket, our high-quality printing processes are an excellent choice. This allows for bold designs that remain visible even at a distance. Our team, who have been perfecting this craft since 1976, will ensure your branding is applied with precision, maintaining the jacket's integrity while enhancing your professional image.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for professionals working in extreme cold, such as construction site managers, highways maintenance teams, and outdoor logistics personnel. The high-visibility properties make it an essential requirement for any environment where vehicle traffic or low light levels pose a safety risk. It is equally at home on a freezing building site or a wind-swept railway line.

Practical Advice

The PW3 Winter Parka is designed with a modern fit, but given its substantial insulation, you should consider what you intend to wear underneath. If you typically wear multiple heavy layers or a thick sweatshirt, ensure you select a size that allows for comfortable movement. The underarm zips are most effective when not blocked by overly bulky base layers.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-visibility properties and the technical integrity of this jacket, it is important to follow the care instructions carefully. Proper maintenance ensures the garment continues to protect you for its intended lifespan.

We recommend a mild wash process at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the PU coating and the adhesive used for the reflective tape. This garment is rated for a maximum of 50 washes; exceeding this can lead to a reduction in the reflective effectiveness of the tape.

Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the polyester fibres and cause the high-visibility orange pigment to fade. The jacket should not be tumble dried, as the high heat can melt the synthetic materials and warp the reflective strips. Instead, we suggest drip line drying to help the jacket retain its shape.

Finally, do not iron or dry clean this garment. Heat from an iron will cause immediate damage to the waterproof coating and the reflective tape, while dry cleaning chemicals can strip away the stain-resistant finish.
