Product Overview

The Portwest PW3 Hi-Vis Softshell (3L) is a sophisticated outer layer engineered for the modern professional. Combining high-visibility safety requirements with a refined aesthetic, this jacket is constructed from a high-performance three-layer fabric that offers a substantial barrier against challenging weather. Designed to be both functional and stylish, it provides the protection needed on-site while maintaining a professional silhouette that is suitable for client-facing roles.

Key Features
  • High-Visibility Contrast: Available in several high-contrast colour combinations, ensuring you remain clearly visible and safe in busy or low-light environments.
  • Flexible Fabric Blend: The use of polyester and elastane ensures the garment moves with you, providing the freedom of movement necessary for physical tasks without the fabric feeling restrictive.
  • Inclusive Sizing: With a range extending from XS to 6XL, this jacket provides a professional fit for all team members, ensuring a uniform appearance across the workforce.

Design & Performance

This softshell is crafted from a substantial, heavyweight fabric that provides an excellent shield against the wind. The three-layer construction is particularly effective at managing the balance between protection and comfort; the outer layer resists the elements, while the inner layers allow for a degree of breathability that prevents overheating during active shifts.

The inclusion of elastane within the material blend is a deliberate choice for the working professional. It provides a subtle stretch that prevents the garment from pulling or straining when reaching or lifting, which significantly extends the life of the jacket by reducing stress on the seams. The result is a well-engineered garment that feels as sturdy as it looks.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This item is available with both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery delivers a textured, premium appearance—ideal for company logos and individual names—and stands up to repeated washing without fading, maintaining its professional finish over time.

Alternatively, printing is better suited to large, bold designs and a broader range of vibrant colours, ensuring your branding is eye-catching even from a distance. Our in-house team, established in 1976, handles all customisation from our facility in Telford, ensuring your garments are finished to our exacting standards.

Use Cases

This jacket is an essential choice for site managers, engineers, and logistics professionals who require high visibility but prefer the look and feel of a modern softshell over a traditional waistcoat. It is equally at home on a construction site as it is in a transport hub or during outdoor site inspections.

Why MyWorkwear

With a heritage dating back to 1976, MyWorkwear has decades of expertise in outfitting the British workforce. Based in Telford, we pride ourselves on our technical knowledge and our commitment to providing durable, professional clothing that supports your business's identity and safety requirements.

Practical Advice

Due to the substantial weight of this softshell, it provides excellent warmth as a standalone piece during the spring and autumn. For winter use, we recommend selecting a size that allows for comfortable layering over a sweatshirt or fleece. The extensive size range ensures that even with layers, the jacket maintains its professional fit.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and visibility of your softshell, it is important to pay close attention to the instructions found on the internal care label. High-visibility garments require careful maintenance to ensure the reflective elements and fabric integrity are not compromised over time.

Adhering to the recommended laundering process prevents the degradation of the fabric's technical properties. Avoiding harsh chemicals or incorrect temperatures ensures that the high-contrast colours remain vibrant and the custom branding—whether printed or embroidered—retains its professional appearance for the life of the garment.
