Product Overview
The Pewter Jacket is a well-engineered outer layer specifically designed to provide reliable warmth and functionality in cooler outdoor environments. Constructed from a robust polyester and cotton blend, it balances the ruggedness required for trade work with a professional aesthetic. The design prioritises core warmth through a substantial Sherpa pile lining in the torso, while ensuring that the wearer maintains a full range of motion through intelligently padded sleeves. This is not merely a piece of clothing; it is a calculated solution for those who require comfort without sacrificing their ability to perform demanding manual tasks.
Key Features
- Sherpa Pile Lining: The internal torso is lined with a thick, soft pile that effectively traps body heat, keeping you warm when the temperature drops without the need for excessive layering.
- Insulated Sleeves: The sleeves feature a lighter polyester wadding, which provides essential insulation while reducing bulk, allowing for better reach and ease of movement during physical work.
- Secure Storage: An internal zip pocket offers a safe place for valuables, while dedicated phone and pen pockets ensure your essential tools are always within reach.
- Integrated Print Access: A specifically designed access point allows for seamless customisation, ensuring that branding can be applied without compromising the integrity of the jacket's lining.
Design & Performance
The shell is composed of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, a classic workwear blend that offers the breathability of cotton with the hard-wearing, crease-resistant properties of polyester. This medium-weight fabric is substantial enough to withstand the rigours of a busy site while remaining comfortable for all-day wear. The performance of this jacket lies in its hybrid construction; by concentrating the heaviest insulation around the vital organs and using lighter materials for the limbs, it provides a superior thermal balance that prevents overheating during periods of high activity.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Pewter Jacket is an excellent candidate for corporate branding. For a superior professional appearance, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual names. The textured shell fabric provides a stable base for high-density stitching, ensuring your brand remains sharp and legible over time. Alternatively, for large-scale back graphics or bold promotional messages, high-quality printing is an effective option.
At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been perfecting these techniques since 1976. We handle the entire process in-house, ensuring that every garment meets our exacting standards before it reaches your door.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for tradespeople, site managers, and delivery personnel who frequently move between indoor and outdoor settings. Its professional cut also makes it suitable for supervisors who require a garment that is practical for the site but smart enough for client meetings.

Practical Advice
This jacket is designed with a regular fit to allow for a base layer or a lightweight sweatshirt underneath. If you are between sizes or prefer a very generous fit for heavy layering, you may wish to consider the next size up. The sleeves are designed to be slightly longer to ensure wrist coverage even when arms are extended during work.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and thermal properties of the Sherpa lining, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the polyester fibres and lead to premature wear of the fabric.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleach is a harsh chemical that will strip the dye from the polyester-cotton blend and weaken the fibres, significantly reducing the lifespan of the jacket.
We advise against tumble drying. High heat in a dryer can cause the internal wadding to clump and the Sherpa lining to lose its loft. Instead, the jacket should be line dried to maintain its shape and soft texture.
If ironing is required, use a cool setting with a maximum temperature of 110°C. Be careful to avoid ironing directly over any printed customisation, as this will cause the design to lift or melt. Finally, this garment is not suitable for dry cleaning, as the chemicals used can degrade the specialised linings.
