Product Overview

The Modaflame Knit FR Women's Sweatshirt is a technically engineered garment designed for professionals who require reliable protection in environments where heat exposure is a factor. Unlike standard unisex workwear, this sweatshirt is specifically tailored for the female form, ensuring a professional appearance and a comfortable fit that does not hinder performance. It bridges the gap between essential safety equipment and high-quality daily workwear.

Key Features
  • Raglan sleeves facilitate a superior range of motion, allowing the wearer to reach and move without the hem lifting or the shoulders binding.
  • The classic round neck design offers a professional profile that sits comfortably beneath outer layers or over protective base shirts.
  • Ribbed collar and cuffs provide a secure fit, ensuring the sleeves stay in place and preventing the ingress of debris or cool air.
  • Modaflame Knit fabric ensures the garment is inherently flame resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fibre and cannot be washed away.

Design & Performance

Constructed from Modaflame Knit, this sweatshirt is designed to be soft against the skin while remaining a sturdy protective barrier. The fabric choice is deliberate; it provides a medium-weight feel that is breathable yet substantial enough for daily industrial use. Because the flame resistance is inherent to the material, the garment maintains its protective integrity throughout its lifespan, offering peace of mind to the wearer. The tailored fit ensures that there is no excess fabric to catch on machinery, which is a common issue with oversized unisex alternatives.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This sweatshirt is an ideal canvas for company branding, and our Telford-based team, established in 1976, is expert at both print and embroidery. Embroidery is highly recommended for a traditional, professional look; the stable knit of the Modaflame fabric supports detailed logos and names exceptionally well. For larger, high-impact branding, our printing process delivers a crisp finish. Our in-house production ensures that your customisation is handled with the same technical care as the garment’s manufacture, maintaining the professional standards your business demands.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically suited for women working in the electrical, utilities, and petrochemical sectors where flame-resistant apparel is a safety requirement. It is equally appropriate for engineers, site managers, and technicians who need a versatile layer that transitions between the office and the workshop floor without compromising on safety.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, please refer to the specific measurements for this women's fit garment to ensure the best silhouette. For maximum effectiveness in hazardous environments, this sweatshirt should be worn as part of a complete flame-resistant system, ideally over a compatible base layer. The raglan sleeve is particularly beneficial for those who find standard set-in sleeves restrictive during physical tasks.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and protective longevity of your flame-resistant sweatshirt, proper care is essential. Regular cleaning prevents the build-up of flammable contaminants like oils or greases which could ignite if the garment is exposed to heat.

Always follow the specific washing instructions on the internal label. We recommend avoiding the use of chlorine bleach, as this can weaken the fibres and potentially damage the inherent protective properties of the Modaflame knit over time.

Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can leave a flammable coating on the surface of the fabric, compromising the safety performance. Ensuring the garment is dried according to the manufacturer's guidelines will help prevent shrinkage and maintain the tailored fit that is central to the design of this sweatshirt.
