Product Overview

The Leather Rigger 365 Cow Split Reinforced Palm Glove is a substantial piece of hand protection engineered for those whose daily tasks involve heavy-duty handling. Recognised as a superior double-palm rigger, this glove is constructed using high-quality cow split leather, providing a natural barrier against abrasions and punctures. Unlike standard gloves, this model features an additional layer of leather across the palm and forefinger, ensuring that the areas subjected to the most intense friction are the best protected. It is a practical, no-nonsense choice for professionals who require reliable equipment that can withstand the rigours of a hard day's work.

Key Features

  • Superior Double Palm: An extra layer of cow split leather is applied to the palm area, significantly increasing the glove's lifespan and protecting your hands from heavy impact and friction.
  • Reinforced Forefinger: The forefinger is reinforced to provide additional shielding when handling sharp or abrasive materials, reducing the risk of tears in a high-stress zone.
  • Cow Split Leather Construction: The use of split leather offers excellent mechanical protection while maintaining enough flexibility to allow for a secure grip on tools and materials.
  • Integrated Safety Components: Incorporating rubber, elastic, and cotton elements, the glove is designed to stay securely on the hand while allowing for essential breathability during extended use.

Design & Performance

Design-wise, the A230 focuses on durability through material density and strategic reinforcement. Cow split leather is favoured in industrial settings for its fibrous structure, which is inherently resistant to tearing. By doubling this material on the palm, the glove provides a sturdy buffer between the wearer and their work. The inclusion of cotton and polyester in the backing and lining aids in moisture management, preventing the interior from becoming overly damp—a common issue with heavy leather gloves. The elasticated back ensures a snug fit, preventing debris from entering the glove and causing irritation.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or heat-sealed printing, on these leather rigger gloves. This is primarily because these gloves are classified as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Any modification to the leather surface, such as needle punctures from embroidery, could compromise the structural integrity and the safety ratings of the material. Furthermore, the oily nature of cow split leather makes it an unsuitable substrate for heat-transfer prints. To ensure your safety remains uncompromised, we supply these in their original, tested form.

Use Cases

These gloves are specifically designed for high-intensity manual labor. They are an ideal choice for the construction industry, where handling bricks, blocks, and scaffolding is common. In agriculture and forestry, they provide the necessary protection against thorns, rough timber, and heavy machinery. Landscaping professionals will also find them indispensable for handling stone and abrasive vegetation where standard gloves would fail.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, ensure the glove fits snugly but allows for full closure of the fist. A glove that is too large can reduce dexterity and increase the risk of snagging on machinery. While these riggers are robust, they are not waterproof; if they do become wet, allow them to dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent the leather from becoming brittle or cracking.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and longevity of your leather rigger gloves, it is essential to follow proper care procedures. Leather is a natural material that requires specific handling to retain its protective qualities.

You should not wash these gloves in a domestic washing machine. Soaking the leather can strip away natural oils, causing the material to shrink, stiffen, and eventually crack once dry. If the gloves become soiled, simply brush off dry dirt with a stiff-bristled brush.

Never use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners on these gloves. Bleach will destroy the leather fibres and weaken the stitching, rendering the gloves unsafe for use. Similarly, do not tumble dry or iron them; excessive heat will warp the leather and ruin the internal lining. To dry, place them in a well-ventilated area at room temperature.
