Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Windbreaker Fleece is a technical solution for professionals who require both high visibility and protection against biting winds. Engineered to offer substantial warmth without the restrictive bulk of a traditional heavy jacket, this medium-weight fleece serves as a versatile outer layer or a substantial mid-layer in harsher conditions. Its vibrant orange colour ensures you remain seen in low-light environments, while the integrated wind-blocking technology ensures the weather doesn't dictate your productivity.
Key Features
- Secure Side Pockets: Two zipped pockets provide safe storage for essential tools or personal items, ensuring they don't go missing while you are active on-site.
- Elasticated Cuffs: These provide a snug fit at the wrists, preventing cold air from travelling up the sleeves and keeping the garment securely in position.
- Drawcord Waist: An adjustable elasticated waist allows for a tailored fit, helping to trap heat and prevent draughts from entering from below.
- Anti-Pill Finish: The high-quality fleece fabric is treated to resist pilling, ensuring the garment maintains a professional appearance rather than looking worn and bobbled after a few weeks of use.
Design & Performance
This garment is far more than a simple fleece. It features a sophisticated construction where a TPU membrane is bonded between layers of 100% polyester micro-fleece. This membrane is the technical heart of the jacket, providing a formidable barrier against the wind while maintaining breathability. To further enhance its performance, the fabric is treated with a Texpel Splash Eco Finish. This environmentally friendly coating allows water and grime to bead off the surface, keeping the garment cleaner and drier for longer.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
At MyWorkwear, we understand that a garment is a canvas for your brand. This Hi-Vis Windbreaker Fleece is well-suited for both print and embroidery. Embroidery is the preferred choice for those seeking a traditional, high-quality finish for company logos or staff names, offering a textured look that stands up to heavy use. For larger, more vibrant designs that need to be seen from a distance, our high-quality printing processes provide a bold and clear finish.
Our expert team, based in our Telford facility since 1976, manages the entire customisation process in-house. We ensure that every stitch or print meets our rigorous quality standards before it leaves our doors, so your team looks professional from day one.
Use Cases
This fleece is ideally suited for outdoor tradespeople, logistics staff, and construction workers who face windy conditions on a daily basis. It is particularly effective for those working in transport or roadside environments where the orange hi-vis specification is a safety requirement. It provides the right balance of warmth and mobility for active roles.

Practical Advice
As this garment features a windbreaker membrane, it does not stretch as much as a standard, single-layer fleece. If you intend to wear multiple layers or a thick sweatshirt underneath, you may wish to consider this when selecting your size. The adjustable drawcord waist is particularly useful for fine-tuning the fit once you have your layers sorted.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility properties and the technical integrity of the windbreaker membrane, proper care is essential. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the bonded TPU membrane and cause the fabric to lose its wind-resistant properties.
Avoid the use of bleach at all costs. Bleaching agents will chemically attack the fluorescent dyes in the polyester, leading to fading and a significant reduction in the garment's safety performance.
Do not tumble dry this fleece; instead, it should be line dried. The intense heat of a tumble dryer can cause the synthetic fibres and the internal membrane to warp or delaminate. Similarly, do not iron the garment, as the direct heat will melt the polyester micro-fleece and the TPU layer.
This garment is rated for a maximum of 25 washes. Beyond this point, the reflective and fluorescent properties may no longer meet the required safety standards for high-visibility clothing, and the garment should be replaced to ensure continued safety on-site.
