Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Rain Traffic Trousers are a precision-engineered solution for professionals who require a reliable barrier against the elements without compromising on safety. These trousers are designed to effectively exclude wind and rain while offering a superior specification within the high-visibility industry. The generous fit is specifically intended for layering, allowing them to be worn comfortably over existing work trousers during sudden changes in weather.
Key Features
- Elasticated Waist: Provides a secure and comfortable fit for all-day wear, accommodating movement and ensuring the garment stays in place during physical activity.
- Adjustable Stud Hem: The snap-closure hems allow for a tailored fit around work boots, effectively preventing water ingress and reducing the risk of the fabric catching on equipment.
- Stain Resistant Finish: A specialised coating that repels dirt and oils, ensuring the garment remains clean and the high-visibility orange stays conspicuous for a longer period.
- 300D Oxford Weave Fabric: A durable polyester material that offers excellent resistance to tears and abrasions, making it suitable for demanding outdoor environments.
Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% Polyester 300D Oxford weave, these trousers are built for durability and performance. The fabric is a lightweight material that remains easy to wear over long shifts while providing substantial protection. The double PU coating is the primary line of defence, creating a waterproof and windproof seal that keeps the wearer dry in the most adverse conditions. The high-visibility orange colour is essential for compliance in traffic and construction environments, ensuring the wearer is seen from a distance.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
These trousers are fully compatible with our customisation services. We recommend embroidery for adding professional company logos or staff names, as it provides a permanent, high-quality finish that withstands the rigours of outdoor work. For larger, high-impact branding, our printing service offers excellent clarity and visibility. All customisation is performed by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on our heritage in the industry since 1976.
Use Cases
These trousers are ideal for individuals working in traffic management, civil engineering, and outdoor logistics. They are equally suited for site supervisors and general construction workers who require immediate, effective rain protection that meets high-visibility safety requirements.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, please account for the fact that these are 'traffic trousers' intended to be worn as an outer layer. If you typically wear heavy-duty cargo trousers underneath, ensure you have sufficient room for a full range of movement to avoid unnecessary tension on the waterproof seams.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and waterproof integrity of this garment, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. We recommend a mild process wash at a maximum of 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures may degrade the PU coating and reduce the effectiveness of the stain-resistant finish.
Do not use bleach or other harsh chemical cleaners. These agents will break down the polyester fibres and can cause the high-visibility orange pigment to fade, rendering the garment unsafe for high-risk environments. For the same reason, this item should not be dry cleaned.
The trousers should be drip line dried only. Do not use a tumble dryer, as the intense heat will damage the synthetic fabric and the waterproof barrier. Furthermore, do not iron this garment, as direct heat will melt the polyester and the PU coating.
Finally, please be aware that the safety effectiveness of the high-visibility properties is rated for a maximum of 50 washes. To ensure your continued protection, the garment should be inspected regularly and replaced once this limit is reached or if the fabric becomes significantly dull.
