Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Extreme Rain Jacket is a superior garment engineered for those who refuse to let the British weather dictate their work schedule. Designed to offer maximum performance and comfort, this premium orange jacket meets the highest standards for both waterproofing and breathability. Its sophisticated construction ensures you remain dry and comfortable during strenuous activity, while the interactive zipper system allows for the seamless integration of a fleece jacket when temperatures drop, making it a truly versatile piece of equipment for year-round use.
Key Features
- High-Level Waterproofing and Breathability: This garment is engineered to keep external moisture out while allowing internal vapour to escape, preventing the damp chill often associated with inferior waterproofs.
- Eight Functional Pockets: Extensive storage options ensure that your essential tools and personal items are always within reach and securely protected from the elements.
- Superior 2-Way Zip Fastening: A robust full-length zipper provides flexibility and ease of movement, allowing the wearer to adjust the fit from the top or bottom as required.
- Interactive Zipper: The internal zip system provides the option to add an extra layer of insulation, adapting the jacket to extreme cold without the need for a separate outer shell.
- Stain-Resistant Finish: The outer fabric is treated to repel dirt and oil, ensuring your professional appearance is maintained even in demanding environments.
Design & Performance
Constructed from Portwest Extreme fabric, this jacket uses a 300D Stretch Oxford polyester. This choice of material is deliberate; the stretch oxford provides the flexibility required for physical labour, while the PU membrane provides a formidable barrier against wind and rain. Inside, the body is lined with a breathable polyester mesh to aid airflow, while the sleeves feature a smooth taffeta lining for easy donning over other garments. The fabric is a substantial, high-performance textile that offers the durability expected of professional workwear without the restrictive feel of traditional heavy-duty raincoats.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
To ensure your team presents a cohesive and professional image, this jacket is suitable for both print and embroidery. For a traditional and durable finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names on the chest. If your branding requires large, high-impact graphics on the rear of the jacket, our printing services provide a bold and clear finish. Each customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, ensuring the integrity of the waterproof fabric is considered during the process.
Use Cases
This jacket is the ideal choice for site managers, surveyors, and logistics professionals who operate in exposed environments. It is particularly suited for high-traffic areas where visibility is paramount and for roles that require a garment capable of adapting to fluctuating activity levels and temperatures throughout the working day.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider whether you intend to utilise the interactive zip for an internal fleece. If you plan to layer heavily during winter months, ensure you choose a fit that allows for comfortable movement across the shoulders and chest. The 2-way zip is particularly useful when sitting or driving, as it prevents the jacket from bunching up.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance characteristics of this rain jacket, proper maintenance is essential. Following these instructions will ensure the waterproof membrane and reflective properties remain effective for as long as possible.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can damage the PU membrane and reduce the effectiveness of the stain-resistant finish.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleach will degrade the polyester fibres and significantly dull the high-visibility orange colour, compromising your safety on site.
This jacket should not be tumble dried; instead, it should be drip-dried on a line. High heat from a dryer can warp the fabric and damage the internal waterproof coating. Similarly, do not iron the garment, as direct heat will melt the synthetic materials and the PU membrane.
Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 washes. Exceeding this limit can result in the reflective tape losing its luminosity, meaning the jacket may no longer meet the required safety standards for high-visibility clothing.
