Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Essential Fleece is a foundational garment for any professional working in environments where visibility and thermal regulation are paramount. Constructed from a high-quality medium-weight polyester, this fleece provides significant warmth without the bulk associated with heavier outerwear. Its vibrant orange hue ensures the wearer remains conspicuous, while the classic design offers a professional aesthetic suitable for a variety of trades.
Key Features
- Secure Side Pockets: The inclusion of two zipped pockets ensures that essential tools or personal items are kept safe and accessible while on the move.
- Adjustable Fit: An elasticated drawcord waist allows for a tailored fit, helping to trap heat and prevent drafts during colder shifts.
- Anti-Pill Finish: The fabric is treated to resist bobbling, ensuring the garment retains its professional appearance even after repeated wear and washing.
Design & Performance
Engineered from 100% polyester, the fabric selection focuses on both comfort and durability. The medium-weight fleece provides an effective insulating layer that is soft to the touch but tough enough for the rigours of daily work. The anti-pill finish is particularly important; it prevents the surface fibres from knotting, which otherwise compromises both the look and the insulating properties of the garment. This attention to detail ensures that the fleece remains a reliable part of your workwear rotation for its intended lifespan.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Hi-Vis Essential Fleece is an excellent canvas for customisation. For a truly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery. Our in-house team in Telford uses high-quality threads to recreate company logos or individual names with precision, providing a finish that is both durable and sophisticated. If your branding requires larger, bolder graphics, our print services offer high-definition results that remain visible even at a distance. Having managed workwear customisation since 1976, we ensure that every application respects the integrity of the garment's technical properties.
Use Cases
This garment is ideally suited for professionals in construction, logistics, and site management. It functions perfectly as an outer layer during transitional seasons or as an insulating mid-layer beneath a waterproof jacket during the winter months. Its high-visibility properties make it essential for those working near moving vehicles or in low-light environments.

Practical Advice
To maximise the utility of this fleece, consider it as part of a layering system. The generous fit allows for a base layer or shirt to be worn underneath comfortably. When adjusting the drawcord waist, ensure it is snug but not restrictive to maintain a full range of movement while working. Given the medium-weight nature of the fabric, it packs down efficiently when not in use.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and visibility standards of this fleece, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can damage the polyester fibres and reduce the effectiveness of the anti-pill finish.
Do not use bleach on this garment. Bleaching agents will compromise the high-visibility orange dye and weaken the fabric structure, rendering the safety features ineffective. We also advise against dry cleaning for similar reasons.
For drying, the fleece should be line dried only. Do not tumble dry, as the concentrated heat can cause shrinkage and distort the shape of the garment. Ironing should be avoided entirely; the heat from an iron can melt the synthetic fibres and damage the texture of the fleece.
Please be aware that this garment is rated for a maximum of 25 washes. Exceeding this limit may reduce the visibility performance below required safety standards, and the garment should be inspected for wear and replaced accordingly.
