Product Overview

The Hi-Vis Contrast Polo Shirt L/S is a sophisticated choice for those requiring high visibility without sacrificing the comfort of a traditional polo. This garment builds upon our most popular long-sleeve designs, introducing a two-tone contrast in Orange and Navy. This design is not merely aesthetic; the darker navy sections are strategically placed in areas prone to soiling, helping the garment maintain a cleaner appearance throughout a demanding shift.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This polo shirt is well-suited for both print and embroidery customisation, though each serves a distinct purpose for your brand. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a superior finish on company logos or staff names, offering a three-dimensional texture that withstands frequent laundering. For larger, more vibrant graphics or promotional messaging across the back, our high-quality print process ensures your design is both bold and durable.

At MyWorkwear, our in-house team in Telford has been perfecting these techniques since 1976. We handle every stage of the process to ensure your branding meets our rigorous quality standards.

Key Features
  • Breathable Bird Eye Knit: The 100% polyester fabric features a specialised knit pattern that encourages airflow, keeping the wearer cool and comfortable in active environments.
  • Two-Tone Contrast Design: The combination of Orange and Navy provides a professional look while masking dirt and grease in high-contact areas.
  • Long Sleeve Coverage: Provides increased surface area for high-visibility material and protection against the elements.
  • Comfortable Construction: Designed to be lightweight and non-restrictive for all-day wear.

Design & Performance

The core of this garment is the 100% Polyester Bird Eye Knit fabric. This material is specifically engineered for its lightweight properties and moisture-wicking capabilities. The 'bird eye' structure creates a breathable mesh-like effect that allows heat to escape, which is essential when working in high-temperature environments or performing strenuous tasks. Despite its light feel, the fabric is resilient and designed to hold its shape after repeated wear.

Use Cases

This long-sleeve polo is an essential equipment choice for professionals in the construction, logistics, and transport sectors. It is particularly effective for outdoor workers who require the safety of high-visibility clothing but prefer the professional appearance of a collared shirt over a standard t-shirt. The contrast panels make it a practical option for engineers or site workers who frequently encounter dirt but need to maintain a professional appearance for client interactions.

Our long history means we understand the specific needs of different trades, ensuring every garment we customise is fit for purpose.

Practical Advice

As this is a lightweight garment, it functions excellently as a standalone piece during warmer months or as a breathable base layer under a high-visibility jacket when temperatures drop. When choosing between print and embroidery, consider that embroidery on the chest provides a long-lasting, professional finish, while large prints on the rear are ideal for ensuring your company name is visible from a distance.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and visibility of this garment, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures may degrade the technical fibres of the bird eye knit and affect the integrity of your custom branding.

Bleaching should be avoided entirely, as it will damage the high-visibility pigments and weaken the polyester fabric. Similarly, do not dry clean this item, as the chemicals used in the process can strip the reflective properties from the garment.

For drying, we advise line drying only. You must not tumble dry this shirt, as the intense heat can cause shrinkage and damage the print or embroidery. Ironing is also not recommended, as high heat can melt the polyester fibres and distort the garment's shape.

Finally, please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 50 washes. Beyond this point, the high-visibility properties may no longer meet safety standards, and the garment should be replaced to ensure continued protection on site.
