Product Overview
The Food Industry Apron is a specialized piece of professional equipment, meticulously designed to meet the rigorous hygiene and safety requirements of modern food production and catering environments. This apron is not merely a covering but a protective barrier, engineered to be 100% waterproof while offering robust resistance against the various substances encountered in industrial settings.
Key Features
- 100% Waterproof construction: Provides an absolute barrier against liquids, ensuring the wearer stays dry and comfortable in wet processing environments.
- Multi-hazard resistance: The advanced finish is designed to protect against acids, alkalies, and oils, extending the apron's utility beyond simple liquid splash protection.
- Generous dimensions: At 67cm x 97cm, this garment provides extensive coverage for the torso and legs, shielding your primary workwear from contamination.
- Industrial durability: The fabric blend is chosen specifically for its ability to withstand the repetitive stresses of a busy commercial kitchen or production line.
Design & Performance
The performance of this apron is rooted in its substantial fabric composition of 70% PVC and 30% Polyester. This creates a sturdy, heavy-duty material that feels reassuringly thick without being overly restrictive. Unlike standard domestic alternatives, this fabric is built to endure the physical demands of the food industry. Its smooth, non-porous surface is specifically designed to prevent the absorption of liquids and fats, making it exceptionally easy to wipe down between tasks to maintain high hygiene standards throughout the day.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
Professional identification is a key component of workplace safety and brand presentation. This apron is fully compatible with both print and embroidery customisation. Embroidery is the ideal choice for creating a superior, permanent professional look, perfect for company logos or employee names that need to withstand frequent cleaning. For larger, more prominent graphics that require visibility across a large facility, our high-quality printing service provides a bold and clear finish. Our Telford-based team, who have been perfecting their craft since 1976, manages the entire process in-house to ensure your branding meets our exacting standards.
Use Cases
This garment is a staple for professionals across the catering and food manufacturing sectors. It is particularly well-suited for butchers, bakers, and industrial kitchen staff who deal with heavy splashes and organic oils. Furthermore, its resistance to mild chemicals makes it an excellent choice for cleaning crews or laboratory technicians who require a reliable, waterproof shield during their daily operations.

Practical Advice
When selecting this apron, consider the 97cm length in relation to the wearer's height to ensure it provides full protection without becoming a trip hazard. Because the fabric is a heavy-duty waterproof barrier, it does not offer the same breathability as cotton; therefore, it is best utilized as a protective layer worn over standard breathable uniforms specifically during high-residue or wet tasks.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the integrity of the PVC coating is essential for ensuring the apron continues to provide the necessary chemical and water resistance.
We recommend a domestic wash using a mild process at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Using higher temperatures can compromise the structural integrity of the fabric and may cause the waterproof layer to degrade prematurely.
Bleaching agents should never be used on this garment. Harsh chemicals will break down the fabric's protective finish, leading to cracking and a loss of resistance to oils and acids.
This item is not suitable for tumble drying, ironing, or dry cleaning. Exposure to high heat will melt the PVC components, essentially ruining the garment and any custom branding applied to it. We advise allowing the apron to air dry naturally to preserve its shape and protective properties.
