Product Overview

The Duck Quilt Lined Hooded Jacket is a substantial piece of equipment designed specifically for those who operate in harsh, cold-weather environments. Built with a heavy-duty cotton shell and integrated polyester wadding, this jacket provides the thermal insulation required to maintain focus and productivity when temperatures drop. The combination of a robust exterior and a comfortable quilt lining ensures that this garment is as practical as it is resilient.

Key Features

  • A heavy-duty front zip allows for secure closure and easy operation, even when wearing work gloves.
  • The integrated hood and full padding provide essential warmth and protection against biting winds.
  • Two spacious front pockets offer convenient storage for tools or personal items, keeping them accessible throughout the day.
  • Elasticated cuffs and hem create a firm seal against the body, effectively preventing cold air entry and heat loss.

Design & Performance

The performance of this jacket is rooted in its 100% cotton shell, which offers excellent abrasion resistance for manual labour. Inside, the garment features a 100% polyester taffeta lining which allows the jacket to slide easily over base layers, reducing friction and increasing comfort during movement. The core of the jacket is filled with polyester wadding, providing a substantial layer of insulation that retains body heat without causing unnecessary bulk.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This jacket serves as a professional canvas for your company branding. We recommend embroidery for a superior finish; the dense stitch work pairs perfectly with the heavyweight cotton duck fabric to provide a professional appearance for logos and staff names. Alternatively, our print services are ideal for larger, bold designs that need to remain visible on a busy worksite.

Our dedicated in-house team in Telford has been perfecting customisation techniques since 1976. Every garment is handled with the expertise required to ensure your branding remains durable and vibrant through repeated wear and washing.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically engineered for outdoor trades such as construction, landscaping, and site management. Its heavy-duty construction and thermal properties also make it an ideal choice for workers in unheated warehouses or those involved in transport and logistics who frequently move between indoor and outdoor environments.

Practical Advice

Given the insulated nature of this jacket, it is well-suited for layering. To ensure the best fit, we recommend allowing a small amount of extra room if you plan to wear a thick sweatshirt or fleece underneath. The elasticated hem and cuffs will ensure that even with multiple layers, the cold air is kept firmly at bay.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high performance and protective qualities of this jacket, it is essential to follow the care instructions provided. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the cotton fibres and may compromise the integrity of any custom embroidery or print.

Avoid the use of bleach, as this will degrade the fabric and cause the colour to fade prematurely. When drying, a low-heat tumble dry or drip line drying is recommended. Excessive heat in a tumble dryer can cause the internal wadding to clump and may shrink the outer shell.

If ironing is necessary, use a maximum temperature of 150°C and avoid ironing directly over any printed branding. This garment should not be dry cleaned, as the chemicals used can strip the natural oils from the cotton and damage the synthetic insulation.
