Product Overview
The PW3 Hi-Vis Extreme Rain Jacket is a sophisticated piece of technical outerwear designed for those who refuse to let the British weather dictate their work schedule. This jacket is engineered from a robust, high-density stretch fabric that offers an exceptional balance of waterproofing and breathability. Its contemporary, sporty fit ensures that safety and professional appearance are not mutually exclusive, providing a modern silhouette that moves with the wearer rather than resisting them.
Key Features
- Ergonomically Shaped Detachable Hood: The hood is designed to follow the natural contours of the head for better visibility and can be removed when not required to reduce bulk.
- Waterproof Front and Underarm Pit Zips: These specialised zips provide a dual function; they prevent water ingress while allowing for essential ventilation during strenuous activity.
- Multiple Secure Storage Pockets: Strategically placed pockets ensure that your essential tools and personal items remain dry and accessible at all times.
- Stain-Resistant Finish: The fabric is treated to repel oil and dirt, ensuring the high-visibility orange remains effective and professional-looking for longer.
Design & Performance
At the heart of this jacket is a heavy-duty polyester stretch oxford fabric, integrated with a technical PU membrane. This combination provides a formidable barrier against heavy rain while allowing internal moisture to escape, preventing the 'greenhouse effect' often found in lesser waterproofs. The interior is lined with a lightweight polyester mesh, which aids airflow and ensures the garment remains comfortable even when worn over a single base layer. The stretch properties of the fabric are particularly beneficial for tradespeople who require a full range of motion without the garment riding up or restricting movement.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This jacket is an excellent canvas for showcasing your corporate identity. For a truly professional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery for smaller chest logos or staff names; it adds a tactile, premium quality that withstands the rigours of outdoor work. For larger, more complex branding across the back, our high-quality print services offer a sharp, vibrant finish that ensures your business is visible from a distance. Every customisation is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford, who have been perfecting workwear branding since 1976.
Use Cases
This jacket is specifically designed for professionals working in rail, construction, or logistics who require the highest level of visibility. It is equally suited for site managers who need to maintain a professional appearance while remaining protected from the elements. Given its breathable nature, it is the ideal choice for high-intensity tasks in wet conditions where temperature regulation is critical.

Practical Advice
While this jacket is designed with a modern, sporty fit, we recommend considering what you will be wearing beneath it. If you intend to layer this over a heavy-weight fleece or a padded gilet during the winter months, you may find the extra room of a larger size beneficial. The underarm zips are most effective when opened slightly before you begin to feel too warm, helping to maintain a consistent core temperature.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance standards of this garment, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can degrade the PU membrane and reduce the effectiveness of the waterproof barrier.
Do not use bleach on this garment. Bleach will cause irreversible damage to the high-visibility fluorescent pigments and weaken the synthetic fibres. Similarly, the jacket should not be tumble dried; high heat can melt the technical coatings. Instead, we recommend drip line drying to preserve the garment's shape and integrity.
Ironing should be avoided entirely, as the heat from a domestic iron will damage the polyester fabric and the reflective tape. Finally, please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 washes to ensure the reflective properties remain within safety compliance standards. Exceeding this may compromise your safety on site.
