Product Overview

The Cut D13 Latex Aqua Glove is a sophisticated piece of hand protection engineered for those who operate in high-risk, wet environments. Where traditional gloves might fail by absorbing moisture or offering inadequate protection against sharp edges, this model excels by combining a highly resilient liner with a dual-layer waterproof coating. It is designed to keep hands dry and secure, ensuring that precision and safety are maintained even during demanding manual tasks.

Key Features

  • Cut Level D Protection: The liner is rated to high cut resistance standards, providing a vital safeguard for the wearer when handling glass, sheet metal, or other sharp materials.
  • Fully Coated Smooth Latex: This initial layer ensures maximum liquid protection, preventing water and non-hazardous fluids from saturating the glove and reaching the skin.
  • Latex Foam Palm Dip: A secondary application on the palm creates a textured surface that provides exceptional grip in both wet and dry conditions, reducing hand fatigue.
  • Lightweight Liner: Despite its protective qualities, the blend of HPPE and glass fibre remains flexible, allowing for the dexterity required for intricate trade work.

Design & Performance

The technical performance of the AP81 is defined by its layered construction. The base is a lightweight yet incredibly durable liner composed of HPPE, glass fibre, and polyester. This combination achieves a high cut-resistance rating without the bulk often associated with heavy-duty safety gloves. This core is then fully submerged in smooth latex for total moisture exclusion. To solve the issue of slippage common with coated gloves, a second 'foam' latex layer is applied to the palm, which acts like a sponge to create suction and grip on slick surfaces.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation on these gloves to ensure the integrity of the protective barrier remains uncompromised. Embroidery would involve piercing the latex coating, which would immediately negate its waterproof properties and potentially weaken the cut-resistant liner. Similarly, the heat required for print transfers could alter the chemical structure of the latex foam. For your safety, these are provided in their original, certified state.

Use Cases

These gloves are specifically recommended for carpenters, glass handlers, and construction professionals working in the unpredictable British weather. They are equally effective for plumbing and drainage work where mechanical protection is required alongside a reliable liquid barrier.

Practical Advice

For the best performance, ensure the gloves fit closely to the fingertips. A loose fit can impair the effectiveness of the foam grip and make handling small components more difficult. As these gloves feature a full coating, they provide excellent windproofing, making them a sensible choice for outdoor work in colder, damp conditions.

Caring for your product

To preserve the performance of the latex and the integrity of the cut-resistant fibres, we recommend maintaining these gloves with care. After use in wet conditions, wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth to remove any debris or grit that could abrade the coating.

Allow the gloves to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area. You must avoid placing them directly on radiators or near high heat sources, as excessive heat will cause the latex to become brittle and crack, significantly shortening the lifespan of the product. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals for cleaning, as these will degrade the synthetic fibres within the liner.
