Product Overview

The CS Cut C18 PU Glove is a sophisticated piece of hand protection designed for those who require high-level safety without sacrificing the precision needed for modern technical tasks. Part of the specialist CS Collection, these gloves provide Cut Level C protection, offering a significant barrier against lacerations. What sets this glove apart is its integration into the digital workspace; the touchscreen-compatible fingertips allow users to operate tablets or smartphones without the dangerous necessity of removing their protection on-site.

Key Features

  • Cut Level C Protection: Provides high-performance resistance against sharp edges and materials, significantly reducing the risk of workplace hand injuries.
  • PU Coating: The polyurethane palm coating enhances grip in both dry and slightly oily conditions while maintaining a high degree of tactile sensitivity.
  • Reinforced Thumb Crotch: By strengthening this high-stress area, the glove offers increased durability and a longer lifespan in demanding environments.
  • Touchscreen Compatibility: Specifically designed to interact with capacitive screens, ensuring you remain connected and productive without compromising safety.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a complex blend of HPPE, Steel Fibre, and Glass Fibre, the fabric provides a robust defence against mechanical risks while remaining remarkably lightweight and flexible. The inclusion of Nylon and Elastane ensures the glove conforms to the hand, providing a 'second-skin' feel that is essential for fine assembly work or intricate carpentry. The lightweight nature of the knit allows for breathability during extended shifts, ensuring comfort isn't traded for safety.

Why No Customisation?

As a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), these gloves are sold without customisation. Applying heat-pressed transfers or embroidery could potentially damage the technical fibres—such as the glass and steel components—or degrade the PU coating. To ensure the Cut Level C certification remains valid and your hands remain fully protected, we provide these as-is.

Use Cases

These gloves are an ideal choice for carpenters, glaziers, and precision engineers. They are particularly effective in environments where workers must frequently toggle between handling sharp materials and using digital inventory systems or communication devices. Whether you are handling metal offcuts or updating a project management app, these gloves provide the necessary protection.

Practical Advice

For maximum effectiveness, ensure a snug fit. A glove that is too loose will reduce your dexterity and can be a snagging hazard, while one that is too tight may cause hand fatigue and stress the seams. If you are between sizes, the elastane content in these gloves usually allows for a comfortable, secure fit in the smaller size.

Caring for your product

Proper maintenance of your gloves ensures they continue to provide the level of protection you expect throughout their working life.

When cleaning is necessary, we recommend a gentle hand wash. Using harsh detergents or industrial bleach must be avoided, as these chemicals can break down the synthetic fibres and the PU coating, lead to a loss of grip, and potentially reduce the cut resistance of the material.

Always air dry your gloves naturally. Avoid the use of tumble dryers or direct heat sources like radiators, as excessive heat can cause the elastane to become brittle and the PU coating to peel or crack, rendering the gloves uncomfortable and unsafe.

Never iron these gloves. The high temperatures of an iron will instantly damage the technical materials and could melt the touchscreen-compatible elements, making them useless for digital work.
