Product Overview

The CS Cut E21 Nitrile Glove represents a sophisticated approach to hand protection, engineered for environments where the risk of laceration is high but the need for precision is absolute. Part of the CS Collection, this glove achieves a high Cut Level E rating, ensuring robust resistance against sharp edges and materials. Unlike traditional heavy-duty gloves, the A652 utilizes an exceptionally fine 21-gauge liner, which provides a near-second-skin feel. This allows for the kind of dexterity usually reserved for lightweight assembly gloves, while maintaining a high tier of safety.

Key Features

  • Cut Level E Protection: Provides high-tier resistance against mechanical risks, essential for handling glass, sharp metals, or blades safely.
  • 21-Gauge Liner: The ultra-fine knit offers exceptional tactile sensitivity and flexibility, allowing the wearer to handle small components without removing their protection.
  • Nitrile Foam Coating: This coating ensures a secure and reliable grip in both dry and slightly oily conditions by channeling fluids away from the surface.
  • Reinforced Thumb Crotch: By strengthening this high-wear area, the glove offers increased longevity and durability during repetitive tasks.
  • Touchscreen Compatibility: Facilitates the use of tablets and smartphones on-site, ensuring workers stay connected without compromising safety by removing their gloves.

Design & Performance

The performance of the A652 is rooted in its intricate material composition, blending HPPE, steel fibre, polyester, nylon, and elastane. This combination creates a fabric that is incredibly strong yet lightweight and breathable. The 21-gauge construction is particularly noteworthy; it is significantly thinner than standard protective gloves, reducing hand fatigue during long shifts and improving the wearer's ability to feel the work at hand.

The nitrile foam coating is applied to the palm and fingertips, providing protection where it is most needed while leaving the back of the hand breathable. This ensures comfort in warmer environments and prevents the build-up of moisture inside the glove, which can lead to skin irritation or reduced grip control.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation on these gloves because they are specialised pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Any modification, such as embroidery or heat-applied transfers, could potentially damage the integrity of the protective fibres or the nitrile coating. To ensure the gloves perform to their rated safety standards and provide the necessary protection against cuts, they must remain in their original, manufactured state.

Use Cases

These gloves are ideal for professionals working in glass manufacturing, metal fabrication, and high-precision assembly lines where sharp components are handled. They are also well-suited for maintenance technicians who require the use of digital diagnostic equipment alongside heavy mechanical work, thanks to their touchscreen-compatible fingertips.

Practical Advice

To get the most out of the A652, ensure you select the correct size. A glove that is too large will result in a loss of dexterity at the fingertips, while one that is too small will overstretch the fibres, potentially reducing the effective cut protection. When working with touchscreens, ensure the fingertips of the glove are pulled taut for the best capacitive response.

Caring for your product

Proper maintenance of your safety gloves is essential to ensure they continue to provide the rated level of protection throughout their working life. We recommend a regular inspection for any nicks, tears, or thinning of the nitrile coating; if any damage is found, the gloves should be replaced immediately to avoid injury.

When cleaning is required, it should be done with care. Avoid the use of bleach or aggressive chemical solvents, as these can degrade the synthetic HPPE and steel fibres, significantly reducing the cut resistance. We suggest a gentle wash at low temperatures. High heat from tumble dryers should be avoided as it can cause the nitrile coating to become brittle and crack; instead, allow the gloves to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
