Product Overview

The Composite Nubuck Leather Ankle Boot is a sophisticated safety solution designed for professionals who refuse to compromise on either style or protection. Featuring a premium black nubuck upper and a 100% non-metallic construction, this boot provides comprehensive S3 safety without the weight often associated with traditional steel components. It is a substantial, sturdy boot that manages to remain comfortable throughout a long shift.

Key Features
  • The 100% non-metallic construction, including a composite toecap and midsole, provides essential protection against impact and penetration while significantly reducing the weight of the footwear.
  • An S3S safety rating ensures the boot is puncture-resistant and water-resistant, making it a reliable choice for varied working environments.
  • The HRO-rated outsole is heat resistant up to 300°C, offering a crucial layer of safety for those working on hot surfaces or in high-temperature industrial settings.
  • Integrated fuel and oil resistance (FO) prevents the PU/Rubber sole from degrading when exposed to common workshop chemicals, extending the life of your footwear.
  • Advanced slip resistance (SR) ensures excellent traction on both ceramic and steel surfaces, providing peace of mind on slippery or uneven floors.

Design & Performance

Constructed from high-quality nubuck leather, these boots offer a more refined appearance than standard grain leather alternatives, making them ideal for roles that require a smart-yet-safe aesthetic. The dual-density PU/Rubber outsole is specifically engineered for shock absorption, which helps to alleviate strain on the lower back and joints during long periods of standing. Because the boot is entirely metal-free, it is particularly useful for staff working in environments with security scanners, such as airports or high-security logistics centres, as it avoids unnecessary delays.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation, such as embroidery or heat-sealing, on this product to ensure your safety remains uncompromised. As a piece of personal protective equipment certified to EN ISO 20345:2022 standards, any physical alteration or puncture to the leather upper could diminish the boot's water resistance or structural integrity. By providing these boots in their original state, we ensure they perform exactly as the manufacturers intended in hazardous situations.

Use Cases

While robust enough for general trade use, these boots are particularly well-suited for professionals in the catering and hospitality sectors, including chefs, bakers, and butchers. The stylish design also makes them a sensible choice for hotel or facility managers who require safety footwear that doesn't look out of place when moving between the warehouse and the front office.

Why MyWorkwear

Established in 1976, MyWorkwear has spent nearly half a century perfecting the art of professional outfitting. Based in Telford, our team possesses a deep understanding of the technical requirements of modern workwear. We select only the most reliable products, like this S3S ankle boot, to ensure our customers are protected by high-quality gear that stands the test of time.

Practical Advice

Safety footwear often feels different from your everyday trainers. We recommend wearing these boots with a dedicated pair of work socks to ensure a snug fit and to maximise the moisture-wicking properties of the lining. If you are between sizes, it is usually advisable to select the larger size to allow for natural foot swelling during active shifts.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance standards of the nubuck leather and the safety certifications of this boot, regular care is essential. Do not machine wash this footwear; instead, allow any mud to dry and remove it with a soft brush. Using harsh detergents can damage the leather's natural fibres, leading to cracking and a reduction in water resistance.

The outsole should be kept clear of trapped debris to ensure the slip-resistant tread remains effective. If the boots become saturated, allow them to air-dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators. Forced drying can cause the nubuck to become brittle and the adhesives in the sole to fail prematurely, which would compromise the boot's durability and your safety.
