Product Overview

The Chef's Bromley Trousers are designed to provide professional kitchen staff with a balance of comfort and practical utility. Constructed from premium Kingsmill Cotton, these trousers offer a reliable solution for those working in high-pressure environments where temperature regulation is essential. The blue check pattern offers a traditional, professional appearance, while the easy-fit styling ensures that the wearer can move freely throughout their shift.

Key Features

  • The fully elasticated waist with an integrated drawcord allows for a customisable and secure fit, accommodating movement without restriction.
  • A concealed zip fastening ensures a neat and professional finish, maintaining the garment's clean lines while remaining functional.
  • The inclusion of a hip pocket provides a convenient storage solution for small essentials, ensuring they are easily accessible when needed.
  • Made from 100% cotton, the fabric is naturally breathable, which is vital for maintaining comfort in hot kitchen environments.

Design & Performance

The Bromley trousers are engineered using Kingsmill Cotton, a fabric known for its durability and skin-friendly properties. The material utilizes long-staple fibres, which provide enhanced strength and superior resistance to pilling. This ensures the trousers maintain a high-quality finish and professional look even after significant wear in a demanding workplace.

Furthermore, the fabric has been fully pre-shrunk, meaning you can trust the fit to remain consistent after laundering. The excellent dye retention properties ensure that the blue check pattern remains sharp and does not fade prematurely, preserving the professional appearance of your team.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

These trousers are suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing for versatile branding options. For a traditional and highly durable professional look, we recommend embroidery for company logos or names. Embroidery provides a tactile, high-quality finish that stands up well to frequent industrial washing.

Alternatively, if you require a larger or more intricate design, our printing service offers a sharp and bold finish. All customisation is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford, drawing on our expertise established since 1976 to ensure your branding is executed with precision.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals in the food industry, including chefs, bakers, and butchers. It is equally appropriate for catering staff and those working in hotel or restaurant kitchens who require a comfortable, breathable, and easy-to-maintain uniform that reflects a high standard of professionalism.

Practical Advice

The easy-fit nature of these trousers makes them versatile for various body types. We suggest using the drawcord to fine-tune the fit at the waist. Because the fabric is a lightweight cotton, it is ideal for layering over base layers if working in cooler preparation areas, though it performs best on its own in hot kitchens to maximise breathability.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and appearance of your trousers, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. This ensures that food-related stains and bacteria are effectively removed without compromising the integrity of the cotton fibres.

Bleach should be avoided at all costs, as it will weaken the fabric and cause the blue check design to deteriorate. We advise against tumble drying; instead, the trousers should be line dried to prevent unnecessary shrinkage and to help the fabric maintain its shape.

When ironing, use a maximum temperature of 150°C to ensure the trousers remain crisp and professional. For persistent stains, the garment can be professionally dry cleaned using tetrachloroethene in a normal process.
