Product Overview
The Challenger Goggles are a fundamental piece of personal protective equipment designed to provide high-level ocular security without compromising on visibility. Constructed with a clear polycarbonate lens and a PVC frame, these goggles offer a wide panoramic field of vision, ensuring that your peripheral sight remains unobstructed during intricate tasks. The design is intentionally inclusive, featuring a generous internal volume that allows them to be worn comfortably over most prescription spectacles and alongside disposable dust masks.
Key Features
Panoramic UV Protective Lens: The wide lens provides an expansive view of your surroundings while filtering out harmful UV rays, protecting your eyes in various lighting conditions.
Anti-Scratch and Anti-Fog Coating: These technical treatments ensure the lens remains clear and durable, preventing the frustration of clouded vision or surface damage in demanding environments.
Over-the-Glasses Compatibility: The specific internal geometry is designed to accommodate prescription eyewear, making these an ideal solution for staff who require corrective lenses.
Indirect Ventilation: This feature allows for airflow to reduce heat build-up and fogging while still providing a barrier against dust and splashes.
Optimised Comfort Band: A larger elastic headband distributes pressure more evenly around the head, ensuring the goggles remain secure and comfortable during extended periods of use.
Design & Performance
Engineered for professional use, the Challenger Goggles are manufactured from robust polycarbonate and PVC. The lightweight construction ensures that they do not become cumbersome during a full shift, yet they remain sturdy enough to meet the EN 166 (1 B) standard for medium energy impact. This performance rating confirms their suitability for environments where flying debris or mechanical hazards are a constant risk. The indirect ventilation system is a critical design choice, balancing the need for air circulation with the necessity of keeping particulate matter away from the eyes.
Why No Customisation?
We do not offer customisation or branding on the Challenger Goggles. As a critical piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), any physical modification, such as printing or engraving, could potentially compromise the structural integrity of the polycarbonate lens or the PVC frame. Furthermore, adding logos to the lens would directly impede the wearer's field of vision, which is a significant safety risk. Our priority is ensuring the equipment performs exactly as intended to keep you safe.
Use Cases
These goggles are versatile enough for a broad spectrum of trade professionals. They are particularly well-suited for carpenters and joiners dealing with sawdust, plumbers and chemical handlers who require splash protection, and construction workers operating in dusty environments. Their ability to fit over prescription glasses also makes them a favourite for electricians and mechanics who need precise vision and impact protection simultaneously.

Practical Advice
When pairing these goggles with a disposable dust mask, ensure the mask is fitted first. The goggles should sit securely over the bridge of the mask to maintain a proper seal. Adjust the large elastic band so that it is snug but not tight enough to cause discomfort; a correct fit is essential for the indirect ventilation to work effectively and to prevent the goggles from shifting during movement.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and clarity of your goggles, you should clean the lenses regularly with a dedicated lens cleaning solution or mild soapy water. Using abrasive cloths or harsh chemicals can strip the anti-scratch and anti-fog coatings, leading to permanent damage and reduced visibility.
Avoid leaving the goggles in direct sunlight or high-temperature environments, such as a vehicle dashboard, for prolonged periods. Extreme heat can warp the PVC frame and degrade the elastic headband, which will ultimately compromise the fit and safety of the product.
When not in use, store your goggles in a protective pouch or case. This prevents the polycarbonate from coming into contact with sharp tools or grit in your toolbox, ensuring that the lens remains clear and ready for your next task.
