Product Overview

The Bizweld Work FR Trousers are a specialized safety solution designed for professionals who face the thermal hazards of electric arc and heat on a daily basis. Engineered with a focus on both protection and practicality, these trousers provide a robust defense without compromising the wearer's range of motion. The inclusion of modern design elements like an elasticated waistband ensures that they remain comfortable throughout long shifts in demanding industrial environments.

Key Features

  • Permanent flame resistance: The protective qualities are inherent to the fabric's lifespan, ensuring that the garment remains a reliable barrier against heat for as long as you own it.
  • Electric arc protection: These trousers are specifically designed to safeguard against the thermal hazards associated with electric arcs, providing essential peace of mind for electrical and industrial workers.
  • Elasticated waistband: This feature allows for a more flexible and adaptive fit, catering to various body shapes and ensuring comfort during tasks that involve significant movement.
  • Ample storage options: Integrated cargo-style pockets provide secure and accessible space for essential tools and personal items, keeping them close at hand while on the job.

Design & Performance

Constructed from 100% cotton Bizweld Work fabric, these trousers utilize a substantial, heavyweight material that is both tough and breathable. The natural fibers allow for better moisture management than many synthetic alternatives, which is vital when working in high-heat areas. The fabric is specifically engineered to resist sparks and molten splashes, making it a dependable choice for welding and metalwork. The design is contemporary yet functional, ensuring you maintain a professional appearance while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To enhance your corporate identity, these trousers are suitable for both embroidery and print. For a truly professional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery for your company logo or staff names. It provides a textured, high-quality look that withstands industrial laundering exceptionally well. For larger, high-impact branding on the legs or pockets, our precision printing service offers vibrant and clear results. Our expert in-house team in Telford has been handling garment customisation since 1976, ensuring your branding is applied with technical precision.

Use Cases

These trousers are primarily designed for those in the welding, electrical, and petrochemical industries. They are also suitable for any role where radiant heat or the risk of flame contact is present. Whether you are working in a fabrication shop or on-site at a power facility, these trousers provide the necessary protection required by safety regulations.

At MyWorkwear, we have been providing high-quality protective clothing to British businesses since 1976. We combine our long-standing heritage with modern customisation techniques to deliver workwear that is both safe and professionally branded.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, please note the generous fit provided by the elasticated waistband. This feature is designed to allow for layering over base garments if necessary. Ensure the length is correct to maintain full leg coverage, as properly fitted safety trousers are essential for ensuring there are no gaps in your protective equipment.

Caring for your product

Proper maintenance of your flame-resistant trousers is critical to ensure they continue to provide the level of protection specified. Neglecting care instructions can degrade the fabric and compromise your safety.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Using excessively high temperatures can lead to fabric shrinkage and may eventually weaken the cotton fibers, reducing the garment's durability.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents can chemically alter the flame-resistant properties of the fabric, potentially rendering the protection ineffective and causing significant fading to your custom branding.

This product should not be tumble dried. To maintain the shape and structural integrity of the trousers, we advise drip line drying in the shade. Drying the garment in direct sunlight or a tumble dryer can cause the fabric to stiffen and lose its comfortable fit.

If ironing is necessary, use a maximum iron temperature of 110°C. Excessive heat can scorch the heavyweight cotton and damage any printed or embroidered logos. Finally, avoid dry cleaning, as the chemicals involved can interfere with the specialised safety treatments applied to the Bizweld fabric.
