Product Overview
The Bizflame Rain Hi-Vis FR Jacket (S774) is a sophisticated addition to our Multi-Protection Range, engineered for professionals who require high-performance protection without the bulk of a padded garment. This unpadded, lightweight jacket is designed to offer a superior barrier against the elements while ensuring the wearer remains visible and protected from specific industrial risks, including flame spread. Its streamlined design makes it an essential layer for those operating in demanding environments where agility and multi-norm compliance are non-negotiable.
Key Features
- Breathable PU Coated Fabric: The outer shell is treated with a breathable polyurethane coating, which effectively prevents water penetration while allowing internal moisture to escape, keeping you dry and comfortable during physical exertion.
- Flame Resistant Lining: Inside, a 100% cotton flame-resistant lining provides an additional layer of protection and comfort against the skin, ensuring the garment meets rigorous safety requirements.
- Integrated Carbon Fibre: The fabric includes carbon fibre to provide anti-static properties, which is vital in environments where static discharge could pose a significant risk.
- High-Visibility Orange: The vibrant orange colour ensures maximum visibility in low-light conditions or busy worksites, which is a fundamental requirement for site safety.
Design & Performance
Constructed from Bizflame Rain HV fabric, this jacket is a blend of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre. This specific composition provides a robust outer shell that is resilient against the rigours of daily site work. Despite being unpadded, the medium-weight fabric offers significant protection against wind and rain without the restrictive weight of traditional winter coats. The 100% cotton lining is specifically chosen for its flame-resistant properties, ensuring that the jacket performs as a cohesive safety unit. The performance of this jacket lies in its ability to offer multi-norm protection while remaining lightweight enough for active tasks.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Bizflame Rain Hi-Vis FR Jacket is well-suited for customisation, allowing you to maintain a professional brand image even in hazardous conditions. For a distinguished and durable finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names on the chest. This provides a long-lasting, high-quality appearance that withstands frequent laundering. For larger branding requirements on the back, our high-performance print processes ensure your logo remains bold and clear. Our expert in-house team in Telford has been refining these customisation techniques since 1976, ensuring your branded workwear meets the highest standards of quality.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideal for workers in the petrochemical, utility, and railway industries where flame resistance, anti-static properties, and high visibility are mandatory. Because it is unpadded and lightweight, it is particularly useful for personnel who are constantly moving and require protection from the rain without overheating. It is also an excellent choice for supervisors who need a professional-looking, compliant outer layer for site visits.

Practical Advice
As this is an unpadded jacket, we recommend considering your layering strategy. If you intend to wear this over thick fleeces or sweatshirts during colder months, you may find the generous 4XL sizing provides the necessary room for movement. Ensure that any garments worn underneath also meet the required safety standards for your specific work environment to maintain the integrity of your protection.
Caring for your product
To maintain the specialised flame-resistant and waterproof properties of this jacket, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. Failure to do so can degrade the protective coatings and compromise your safety on site.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can damage the PU coating and reduce the effectiveness of the flame-resistant treatment. Avoid the use of bleach at all costs, as chlorine-based cleaners will strip away the protective qualities of the Bizflame fabric.
This garment should not be tumble dried. High heat from a dryer can cause the carbon fibres to become brittle and damage the waterproof membrane. Instead, use a drip line dry method to allow the jacket to dry naturally. Do not iron this jacket, as direct heat will melt the PU coating and ruin the fabric's performance. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemicals used in the process are incompatible with the flame-resistant lining and outer shell.
